I think both routes should start solidifying however, as in the long term there's only two chapters left. Deltarune creepypastabaits quite a bit and those elements are diagetic to the narrative.The real problem with the fandom is their inability to connect the meta-mystery-game-glitches stuff to the main story. Acting like they're mutually exclusive elements and not intertwined into each other.You have to engage with the story presented at face value to fully appreciate when the game gets meta. It's the same with Undertale.
