For Danchou and Id, their character sigils follow a slightly different naming convention. Fearless Heart and Versalis Heart are their equivalent of Warpath sigils, so those two will never roll with the other character sigil effects due to how base character sigils and Warpath sigils work.

You can still pull a Versalis Heart+ from Siero's slot machine but it'll be any other subtrait possible on other Warpath sigils, and you'll eventually pull Id's Awakening+ equivalent, Versalis Soul+ (if you haven't already), which is only ever Foundation + Ignition and you only get it once.

I'd argue Beatrix is fairly unga because a lot of the time you get away with turning on Yellow Clock and taking hits on the chin while you learn mechanics or try to parry.

Sandalphon is also kinda nice because he has a trait that heals him whenever he cycles out of wings mode (there's a trait line that specializes in rapidly cycling through wings mode so you can afford to take hits and passively heal a lot)

Charlotta is dumb because she has leap mobility on demand, auto-guard if you want to use it, and a fairly simply gameplay.

Vane is great if you can set up a high defense/dmg reduction sigil build because you benefit from spamming his heavy attacks to auto-guard things. Vitally, in ER they gave him a trait that makes him immune to debuffs while auto-guarding.

Skills depend on how much you're willing to give up for utility. Strictly speaking you can upkeep substitute 100% with just the skill of the same name. Phalanx doesn't have 100% up time on the substitute effect but it does heavily reduce the amount of damage transferred over to you. Take your choice on what you want but IMO its a bit of a waste to take both. The old 3 damage skills meta of danchou can still hold up but all the buffing/debuffing/utility skills are good enough to warrant a slot with special attention to clarity's 15% dmg boost, active cleanse effect and percent HP regen, and it also procs combat medic lvl 1 with near 100% uptime. Nothing too dramatic with the mastery talents either, just pick what works for you and also make sure to grab "damage skills make power charge charge quicker" and "combos(including power charge) increase arts level +1).

Some notes if you're running with AI. Consider substitute danchou's damage effectively halved if they cannot get 10 stacks of the mastery talent's passive. With that and the fact substitute effects do not affect the AI's behaviors you will want to run a stout heart summon so that you can actually get to 10 stacks very fast. The stout heart AI only avoids hits if its OWN hp gets low, if they're not doing anything else or if the attack will CC them. Yes they will stand in lasers and other field effects, and yes 90% of your downs will be because they're idiots so as with online play know when its better to not cover for them. To the above that also means AI characters with slow attack animations or charged attacks will get you hit more often. Regen effects like clarity help off-set the damage, but sometimes its not enough and an AI danchou does not have the same foresight you do to not cover in bad patterns. When playing with an AI sub danchou its better to remove the stout heart summon and eat some early hits yourself while substituted to get their passive to 10 rather than watch the AI eat dirt.

I just started playing her a bit today and can already feel that. I had it whiff on the dragons because of that rearing up animation they do when getting hit sometimes and boss Song because of her constant floating. Wish they gave it DMC5 JCE range where it just hits everything in a 360° radius and isn't dependent on the slash connecting. Although I suppose the charged zone attack already covers that sort of move niche.

Summon farm is definitely a recipe for burnout. I settled with 45% as my goal and that's been fine. The damage difference of 220% extra is probably like 10% if it's a character like Ghandagoza, or 2/3rd of that that if it's a mixed damage character like insight Id. That kind of payout is just not worth the grind for me.

For me, I think one of Relink's appeals is the gameplay variety in some of its characters so that's been my endgame gameplay loop. Especially fun in the expansion because of the masteries.

The Eternals have a constellation theme. Their numbers have to do with the number of stars in their constellation.
Siete's is the Big Dipper, Urza Mayor or the Grand Chariot. Why he chose this particular constellation is beyond anyone's guess, but it IS one of the most well known constellations in the entire northern hemisphere so it makes sense he took it.

You can try to rush but your damage will be lacking like you noticed. My advice is to try and upgrade and level your weapons whenever the opportunity allows, and equip whatever damage sigils you have as you progress through the story.

Sort of? We're basically back to how it was before having only a handful of endgame quests worth tackling with higher end builds, a lot obviously being remix/reskin old bosses. It leaves me wanting a better way to Quick Quest for a fair challenge and decent rewards, or online Conflux of some form. But I did want more Relink and that's what I got. If online play manages to persist a little longer I'll keep checking how other characters and their mastery trees fair.

what really gets me about the skill damage one in particular is how you are still locked into doing the fucking combo for 9 seconds at a time and you just have to watch your skills come off cooldown but you can't use them because doing that resets the combo
