I figured out why I hated playing against shadow hunters, by becoming one. It’s because they’re actually designed to counter classes that specialize in attacking the back line. There was like a big pyramid involved while designing class archetypes. The shadow hunter does medium range burst without much fear of being stunned or cleaved. So, it counters stuff like reapers, barbarians, primalists, runemasters. It’s a support class, but it’s supporting basically by killing the guy trying to kill you. It definitely does a ton of damage and can easily kill two people who are caught unprepared. This makes it very good at its job compared to something like a cox who wouldn’t put out that type of damage reliably. The shadow hunter just pops up out of nowhere and the tides have turned in the battle. The enemy thought they were pressing their advantage but now they’re respawning.

The totems design was done to allow shadowhunters huge dps over a 10 second period. If the shadow hunter can attack for the full 10 seconds, expect like 2-3 people to die. Ok, NA raid went well, once we got the fuck off of Mythic. For some reason someone set it to Mythic and we just Yolo'd that shit. Got pretty close to killing some bosses, granted, but we didn't have enough DPS/well-geared DPS, and then Grok killed it with his meme strat>Everyone stack up on this AOE that insta-wipes the whole partySo we went down to Heroic and crushed it. Was actually hilarious how big of a difficulty gap there was between the two. We only had to reset maybe a couple times, and one of those was because of Dutch's spaghetti code making the boss disappear. Thankfully most of the gear wasn't healer gear, so maybe some of the DPSes got some desperately-needed upgrades out of it.I heard the tanks were trash in the EU raid and they suffered from the lack of Witch Doctor healers to deal with status effects, so maybe a combination of NA healers and Tanks with EU DPS could be ideal for clearing mythic. Or honestly that could just be the meta-status of the specs that were present in each.
