Okay. Guy who recently got Superstars here back again after finishing the Trip story. The levels are basically the same, which I more or less expected, but Trip has a fun moveset so it's okay. It's fine for Sonic to do as he pleases, but when you also say that Sonic has "a steadfast heart of gold" it's no different to saying "Sonic does whatever he wants and whatever he wants is the right thing, so Sonic always does the right thing" it can be a bit much.Aside from those 2, the only other thing I can think of is Sonic's reluctance to share his pain, it's a consistent trait of his that when he's in trouble, rather than let his allies know that, he instead chooses to hide his predicament so as to not cause them to worry about him, this happens once in Secret Rings and a couple of times in Frontiers, where Sonic's condition worsens and he either hides it well enough for his friends to think he's doing fine or he practically lies in reassuring them that he's okay when he visibly is not.The idea that Sonic has been written like a gary stu may not be true, but it is not unfounded, the times where his flaws actually matter are few and far in between as the series seems more focused on showing the player how cool he is, even at the expense of other characters.
