Also with the complexity of the systems, the onboarding tutorials and making sure players understand how the game works and how to succeed in the game is something we've historically not been super great at conveying instantly. We've definitely just dropped players in and hoped they would figure it out. In this case, Nintendo is definitely the right partner for better conveying that information in a way that is understandable to the player; it definitely suits their strengths.

The ritual zones need to be way smaller, especially in phase 3. I've had multiple times where I'd just be running around and don't see anyone, and the verticality doesn't help.

The handheld performance feels way too behind docked, but it also didn't feel like it had the same trademark juddery FromSoft frame time hitching you'd usually see, so I think the VRR display is masking some things (for the better).

I think the best path forward is more customization of fight. We already have shit like doubles, no alliance, ect. Let person add or take away some randomness. Maybe a round with no Kin. Perhaps an option that ensures the final round is a 1v1. Some that probably won't work if it's a match with randoms but it definitely should be possible in a lobby among friends.
Posted this in /v/ but im reposting hereSigils should be obligatory to have but not to clear and they should reward more virtue if you actually go out of your way to clear them cause you just lose a fuckton of time only to be kicked out for not getting more virtue in easier ways. Rounds should be longer and have more than one event.
Possibly might need a longer round 1. That's when you do a lot of early leveling, and find a kin. repulses can be hard and a time sink in the first round. Most of the time my 1st round virtue is the flame chair. Or maybe I'm just unlucky and a shitter. I've seen people pull 30+ in the first round. I've never even hit 20 and the closest I got was from stumbling on 4 flame chairs in a row.

Two rounds at 15 minutes would probably make things feel a little more relaxed and allow for more time to be distributed to the ritual zone.My issue right now is that the ritual zone feels kinda tacked on at the end and sometimes ends up being a ghost town if people weren't actively engaging with it. With more times people could at least finish up what they were doing and head over.
