I love Opus 4.6 in terms of just how smart and intuitive it is, it knows where I’m going with stuff and picks up on all the little details. It keeps track of everything I need tracked, and it follows rules perfectly. That being said, as great as it is, compared to earlier models, it’s WAY TOO positive. I can’t kill people, without it trying to make me feel bad for the person, even if I should NOT be feeling bad for the person. People who are supposed to be evil, are basically just redeemable anti-hero’s more than anything, and the model just refuses to make my characters life difficult or have anyone say anything negative to them, it’s ridiculous.My favorite model in terms of this, was 4.1. When I tell you, some of the stuff that came out of 4.1 was genuinely like wtf, like genuinely dark. Not every character was redeemable, some people were just genuine scum. My character wasn’t coddled, people could genuinely hate them. 4.1 in terms of how dark and brutal it was willing to get, was perfect, but 4.6 is also just a lot smarter. I’m curious if there’s anyway to make 4.6 write a lot more like 4.1 or just be darker in general, without dumbing it down too much.
