actually, I'd put it this way. the melee system is a simple RPS that lends itself very well to mind-games. it's the best way to tack on damage that kills or bait out parries for kills that's difficult to do for a lot of heroes early game just spamming their weapon or kits with high cooldown.the itemization in deadlock is very similar, only it applies more to mid and late game. counterspell is great, but not if you never actually counterspell anything. it's a trump card if they never actually TAB and check your build or they lose their composure mid team fight and then the wraith gets cornered and silenced/disarmed. it's actually all a mind-game, not a strict RPS.

Are there not items that are just strictly better than others? Refresher is better echo shard (and for the same exact price), Focusing Lens is just better curse. Headhunter is better resto-shot. I personally find that Shield/Weapon shielding are far better than the Resilience options because they are cheaper (by 2x!), easier to proc, and actually protect you more/better because a shield is flat damage protection instead of conditional protection.Sure some items are more expensive therefore better but in the case of Refresher VS echo shard, what's the point? Echo shard does not help with your ultimate, recovers your abilities but so does refresher, and you only get a measly 5% spirit/gun res. Is there something I don't understand?
Brawl really needs it's own map designed for it. I know MOBAs are all about the one map thing but I think the regular game mode having like 2-3 maps it rotates between would be really nice. Not radically different or anything. The other gamemodes however 100% need their own maps

The game has way too many sources of debuff resistance. Things like debuff reducer need to be reduced from 25 to 15%. There should be a hard cap on how much you can stack. Like 30%.

Hell, even if you're trying to farm up, sometimes they'll invade and kill you, especially if they're straight up one of the OP farmers you're suppose to be hunting.
