There can only be meaningful differences when Noelle is present, but that's rarely ever, because Toby doesn't allow her to do anything other than fawn over Susie during short Light World segments in the normal route. Of course, that means Noelle can't appear in Dark Worlds, which is where all of the actual gameplay happens, resulting in what most people will just watch online. It's several times longer than Genocide, yet it does a far worse job at keeping you engaged, despite the entire point of Genocide being that it's boring. Whatever content it may bring, 7B is too little, too late. I'm not sure if letting Noelle into Dark Worlds would entirely fix the issue, though, since that would likely turn into more of the same, having you repetitively freeze every enemy you come across. That's why Firegrave was a bad idea, it was just a retread of what Chapter 2 did. Noelle is simply not interesting enough to dedicate a route to, and Toby must agree, because what he's given us is barely a route at all. What a waste of a good setup, as well. Berdly, the character you send into an eternal nightmare coma? His existence is acknowledged by two people afterwards, one of which being the person that works at the hospital he's residing in, and the other being Noelle when she's awkwardly recounting all of the things Kris did and said to her the night before...to Kris. Nobody else cares about Berdly, apparently, and nothing else changes, because he matters to the normal route even less than Noelle. Lovely.

Objectively, it would be very cool, and I would probably shed a tear of joy knowing this character I met years ago and thought was cute and cool gets an epic boss battle in the future.

I'm a huge Deltarune fan. I think the gameplay sucks and lacks depth, the writing is bad quirkchungus vagueposting and the mysteries are boring dogshit, and that Toby is an uncreative lazy hack, and chapter 5 raped me for 12 hours with how much I hated it. Please listen to my opinions on how the game should improve in chapters 6 and 7 (which I will also hate).

In my attempt to make Toby Fox sick by thinking mean thoughts about him landed me in the hospital due to a fairly damaging seizure. I was in the hospital for 3 days only thinking a happy thoughts about me and stealing any sort of medical equipment I could find and I have about two bags full of hospital equipment now. Undertale and Deltarune are the best anti-escapist works I have ever seen in spite of their flaws. Because in both cases, they are one of the very few anti-escapist works that aren't completely anti-escapist and admit that escapism is necessary, merely that you cannot overindulge in it. Too many creations do this but lack the nuance that Undertale and Deltarune has.That being said, I think that trying to imply Susie is doing anything wrong with the Dark World is stupid as she seems to be engaging in escapism in very healthy manner so far. The "Oh I live in Castle Town" would be weirder if she wasn't implied to have a terrible situation back at her true home so I don't actually see it as bad yet. It might morph into something bad, but so far Susie seems to be going out, meeting new people, engaging with friends and eating stuff in the light world, so the claim that she's unhealthily obsessed seems to be very lacking.

I feel like the empty surface level adventure that rings hollow in the face of the storm approaching is more thematically resonant in chapter 5s spot than chapter 3s. But at the same time. Chapter 4 redeems chapter 3 pretty well. It's just weird this constant rollar coster of "haha happy fun but tinged with sadness" and "serious sadness"But because chapter 6 is that maybe that whiplash is intentional....hmmm.

With the rolls reversed so that the human is the innocent one harmed by foolish actions and the monster the troubled youth who does something dangerous. However I believe that Asriel x Dess is a do over on the Chara x Asriel relationship. With Asriel being himself and dess standing in for chara. A sort of chance to actually explore more romantically tinged aspects of the dynamic without muddying the water with icky incest concerns (not that I mind that. But toby probobly wants to sidestep such things)Also of course im inspired by pink sparks. Every kress fan should read pink sparks. It's literally the best kress fanfiction ever made.
