The only other enemy that would pressure you like this is the Fleshmob, but those are pretty easy to deal with. One time I played with randoms and three of them took laser cannons and that was enough to kill all of the heavies, but that was on an open map so long range fire was very effective. Also, the autocannon is very strong against chargers because it can stagger them.
