This game was mostly made by the unironic fucking C-team janitors while Yuzhong/A-team was making Reverse Collapse and the B-team was finishing up the final year of GFL1. The worst-in-the-industry gacha system with hoyoslop 50/50 and 95% of the drop pool being LITERALLY useless 3* blue weapons with genuinely no use case (even fucking genshin has some good cope 3* weapons like thrilling tales), the fact there's absolutely no way to upgrade skill levels without dupes, SR dolls being useless and turbo power creeped to the point they stopped making them, the disastrous launch story needing months of rewrites and immediately backpedaling from the Mephisto Agreement's relevance, all of it can be traced back to the fact they had the least skilled and least qualified people in the fucking company making the most important foundation of the game while the others were busy with other shit. The game still hasn't recovered and basically can't recover from these structural flaws without an entire new game which is what they're working on with the helldivers shit. Between that and the cut/reworked mechanics from when this was supposed to be an X-Com clone and not Fire Emblem Heroes with guns on top and the game is essentially a frankenstein's monster of what could have been.
