Melee has ruined traditional Fighting/Arena Fighter style games I used to play. I tried the new JoJo game on Steam and I hate being trapped in the tiny box. Also, without defensive counter play in DI and SDI all I can do is hope the opponent drops the combo and that feels lame. I booted up Naruto Storm 4 and chuckled looking at the "combo list", which is basically "BBBBBBB, (air) BBBB, BBB-Left Stick Up-BBB, BBB-Left Stick Down-BBB".
