>>579382629I could have sworn I made a post before that…
>>579382629Why are there no Mesopotamian/Sumerian horror games?
>>579385693I think it's because people aren't as knowledgeable about the culture as they are with places like Japan or America. However, there was a Mesopotamian killer in Dead by Daylight called The Plague
Did we ever come to a conclusion as a group on RE9? I feel like it got massively hyped but then came and went with no lasting impact.
>>579387108>Did we ever come to a conclusion as a group on RE9?I think most people liked it, but a lot of the retcons were pretty silly, like "good guy Spencer"
>>579387108>>579387194The story's kinda ass, but really innoffensive in the greater scheme of things so most people focua on smaller things, like Leon's uncanny ability to parry all objects.
>>579385693Its not very well known at all, duh. There's that moviegame from the until dawn company but afaik that's it. I wish the Delta Green campaign that touches on it was better
>>579394434every single character is White except Carlos, this is problematic (Sheva is honorary)
>>579387194It seemed to be liked more than 8, at least.
>>579397341Ada
>saw anon shill horg on v in at least 3 threads today (don't do that)>horg still dead anyway lolat least it's not invaded by v retards but it's a sad state
Turns out the horrors don't persist, actually.
>>579401890We'll probably be rejuvenated by Silent Hill: Townfall. So if this thread fails, we'll just have to go into dormancy until the 20th.
>>579382629Okay, so here's the gameplan. It's clear that the /horg/ threads have run out of steam and probably need to go into dormancy for a bit. If this thread fails. I'll create a new thread on the 20th for Silent Hill: Townfall. So set your calendars for that date if you want to catch the next thread.
>previous thread died before even hitting 300 postssad times
>>579404452Sorry I haven't been posting much because I have been playing the Outlast Trials too much. It could save the general but none of you want to give it a chance..................
>>579404452I post random Jills if it ends up on page 10 but I'm not always awake
>>579401890I made it here thanks to that shilling. Idk why I never check /vg/, I guess I just forget that it exists. Anyway, I might as well share a couple of newer indie games that I enjoyed. Dead Format is a novel and innovative take on the haunted VHS trope. A lot of the environments were visually impressive for an indie game and the atmosphere was great. Puzzles and overall gameplay was hit or miss, but serviceable. A lot of love and creativity went into it and the devs included a lot of tasteful homages to various obscure indie horror films. Skin Stapler is a cheesy and ridiculous game about a pair of detectives trying to take down a notorious serial killer, but despite the over-the-top humor it somehow it still maintained a great spooky atmosphere throughout. Several standout performances with voice acting, solid dialogue and environment design with seemingly all custom assets. Cool tie-in reveal at the end as well if you're familiar wiuth Tainted Pact's previous games. The gameplay isn't anything to write home about, it's the classic menial tasks from behind a store counter type stuff, but the story progression gives you the chance to play as several characters in different settings with unique interactions to keep things fresh and interesting. Dead Format is even 50% off right now and Skin Stapler has a free demo. I highly recommend both.https://store.steampowered.com/app/3399290/Dead_Format/https://store.steampowered.com/app/4310610/The_Skin_Stapler/
>>579385693There’s house of ashes like >>579396487 says but it’s nothing too great. Still probably their best game since UD though.>>579397341OG Carlos would count too ironically.
>>579407935I've added your recommendations to the rentry. Thanks for sharing.
>>579385693Upcoming game Ontos may tie into Mesopotamian/Sumerian mythology, seems like there is a cult that uses that style of art. Might just be stylistic but I think it will probably go deeper. I doubt there will be any gameplay that takes you to those locations/time periods though. I agree it would make for a cool setting and theme.
>>579404683I haven’t played in months but I can confirm it’s a good time for anyone looking for a multiplayer horror game
In Louie G's Mansion you can only see the moon here if you look up, and there is a developer oversight causing a large incongruity in perspective while in the first-person view using the GameBoy Horror here.
>>579412551can you even play this on the shits2 without paying for a crappy subscribtion? or is emulation better like always?
>>579412551Mario?
>>579416545Yeah, it's a spinoff that features Luigi's brother. Turns out he's pretty good at fighting ghosts.
does splatterhouse (2010) hold up?
>tell myself i was not going to use unlimited ammo weapons this replay of re2remake>sitting and waiting for mrs x to leave is getting annoyingbros what the fuck am i going to do? this is a single player game and people are judging me by this post fuck shit ass what am i going to do
>>579432808how long does it take for lickers to fuck off
am i retarded for still using a pen and paper for the puzzle pad things in re2re for the safe buttons?its been like 7 or so years
>>579434530No
>>579422653I'd say it's pretty okay. The game can be fun at times, but the enemy variety is pretty small.
this is why unlimited weapons>bell tower room>finish>mrs x ouside>wait for her to leave>see she left through the way we all came i>go across the room to the tamu lock door>open tamu and sprint through>mrs x is at the top of the stairwell to chiefs saferoomfuck you god damn what the fuck is this teleporting shit
>orphanage ending>know mrs x is going to spawn behind me>dont stop, keep running>sherry behind me>outrunning sherry by a lot since her run trigger event started after she says its behind me when im already behind sherry and then in front of sherry oh god this blueberry weed is amazingbtw if you mix red crimson weed with blueberry with standard original green you do indeed get that weird dull peach color
>>579433651Damn… Leon works quick……………….
>>579382629Hot take, the guy from this new Onimusha game reminds me of Ash Williams, especially when he argues with his hand and starts hitting it. He's a knucklehead.
>>579433660Probably never. In lore, also probably never. Like, during RE2 there were like maybe one or two living people still in the building. Really if they were living creatures the would have wandered off to find easier to find food sources.
What's with all the Realm of Haunting reviews lately? Avalanche, boulder punch, and smaller youtubers are suddenly covering it. Was there like a re-release or some fan patch or something?
>>579447237The first time some big YouTuber covered it. It caught people's attention for the first time, which probably made everyone else want to put their opinion on the game. It's the snowball effect.
>just now finding out the taser gun is more effective against the plant zombieswhat the fuck bros
/horg/´s biggest nightmare
>>579454981hey that's exactly how my wisdom teeth grew in. just had them pulled about a year ago
>>579454981Yeah, I'm going to the dentist on Saturday because of that...But maybe I'm in luck; my tooth isn't lying flat like that, but it is half-covered by the gum.
I haven’t been to the dentist in years
>>579456385you're an anti-dentite
https://youtu.be/vhlON0U4Sxs
Lets go>>579454981Mine came in completely normally and the dentist still wanted them removed because it was crowding my mouth /slightly/. According to an Anthropology class I look back in college wisdom teeth are only a problem because we learned to use fire to tenderize food and have moved away from a "natural" diet. If we didn't we'd have larger jaws still.
>>579454981it's really not that big of a deal
>>579456385You should be going every 6 months anon. Dental health is really important and while it's not a HUGE deal in the developed world people without access to proper dental care can easily die from things like an abscess or tooth infection. Plus one of the first things people look at when you meet someone is their smile so its always nice to have a good smile. Even if you do brush your teeth twice a day and floss and all of that a consistent checkup with a dentist can help notice other issues that can be stopped early on.
Rinda, my beroved.
>>579454981i got mine removed because i could not brush them well anyhow
Cat and bare feet.
My hijabi wife.
i fucking hate adaptive difficultyit should not take 22 9mm rounds + 30some smg rounds to take down a single fucking zombiedont fucking punish me for walling off windows or sneaking around enemies or just crippling them and leaving them
Cat had rendered unto me a KNIFE
>>579467860>that feel when the game makes fun of you by suggesting lowering the difficulty if you die too much
>>579467860the adaptive difficulty in l4d was really good because it knew the line and only touched item/enemy spawns, turning enemies into bullet sponges is where it gets annoying and feels like the game is directly shitting on you and becoming less fun as punishment for not being incompetent
>>579466520>anti linda social clublol(?)
>>579471415worst part? i went back into the police station and returned to the sewers and that fucking zombie was still alivei went to the nearest item boxgot my rocket launcherand im still shooting it an hour later just to be certain
>>579472036In the first game Linda is the only "survivor" although your teacher arguably survives as well, she just disappears and is the one behind all the eventsSo yeah people at school are not happy with you.
Loli, my beloved...
>>579473843Loli you say……..
>>579473843i am now interested in your gamename?
>>579473950Ruh-roh I was joking lady I'm not helping you find your rose.
>>579474101DreadOut 2.There are two other games before it (but the second one, Keepers of the Dark isn't that important, just DreadOut 1)
Bloody booba and feeta
My shadow self.
>>579387108You need to wait another year before normalfags admit that it was mediocre.
>>579482647I think most people agree that everything after the Clinic was ass. Including the basement fetch-the-fuse part. Maybe not the RPD for nostalgia. Even will unlimited ammo I can't stand most parts after the Clinic and it also felt like they just added bosses for the sake of bosses once you get to Raccoon City. The Commander was a cool fight. Actually had to grab the Mortal Edge for that one on my first run. Although I do have a friend who doesn't even play horror games who kept sharing pictures of Leon with hearts right after the game came out. And I know Grace-posting happens here and on /v/ a lot so it's also definitely being carried by DILF Leon and autistic Grace.
Look he's jamming out~
>>579486612shuh-redding
>kill boss>kitty rips out her heart and performs a ritual that teleports me elsewhere Thanks?
>>579486984Also went back to see him and he thinks I look poor.
Welp, beat DreadOut 2. Pretty decent game. Janky in sections which is what I expected from a smaller Indonesian dev team but it was more optimized that DO1 and Keepers of the Dark. >the final battle takes place after the credits rollkino
>>579505784She mogs Nora simply because she looks happy
>>579505909This bih is on an absolute cocktail of SSRIs she is definitely not happy behind that smile
>>579513176More like a cocktail of One Wish Willow and my dick
I guess this is the topic to ask about the new Onimusha. I was curious if the game is a character action game sort of like the previous games or if they made it more like Nioh/Souls.
>>579516821The director himself said that it's not a soulslike. https://automaton-media.com/en/interviews/onimusha-way-of-the-sword-is-not-a-soulslike-and-not-open-world-director-says-instead-it-expands-on-what-the-series-is-known-for/
>>579517389The way he characterized Soulslike was die and retry. For me it's more a question of aesthetics. Doesn't really matter, I'll probably get it anyway.
>>579526660I thought that was a cock on the right
