By this point I was 2 years and 6 months in, playing every day for 12+ hours.Then I took a break in the leadup to Dawntrail, which turned out to be 6 months of not playing the game. Then I played the Dawntrail MSQ, then I dropped the game for 12 months and showed up again but only to do the MSQ patches. These days I'm an MSQ-only guy, and if Evercold is as bad as Dawntrail I'll probably never played XIV ever again. I got so into XIV because of the writing, lore, worldbuilding and characters. Take those away and you have a very bland and mediocre game that doesn't really do anything especially noteworthy.

You have attack options, but a tank isn't designed to heal itself or kill everything like warrior, it's designed to not die. A DPS isn't designed to be invincible and heal others, it's designed to hit hard. A healer SHOULD be designed to heal with offensive options in case there's literally nothing to do, but fights have too much downtime where you mash your one attack and upkeep your DoT. Fight designs in XIV just aren't made with healers in mind. They're made with 8 DPS in mind but two of them occasionally have to swap aggro and two occasionally have to press medica.
