>>579482470If you don't mind gambling on procs, the Gorgon Bow's petrification can help. Maybe it's not consistent enough to be reliable and you do have to deal with accumulative resistance but it saved my ass a few times during that boss.

I definitely learned from my mistakes in 1 and took a zodiac for my party in 3. Elemental infusions do NOT replace a caster, and do NOT do massive weakpoint damage.Though Zodiac is a better concept than Alchemist. If I remember correctly, Alchemist is extremely slow, while Zodiac is above average in speed. Regardless, if I ever replay 1, I'm bringing an alchemist.

If it's any consolation 3 is where they start getting really good, especially for certain strategies and set ups but running a Zodiac is a good idea regardless of if you want to mess with imbues or not.

It is just in situations where you would be popping consumes like FOE or Bosses, a bit stronger normal attack is not the same thing as a massive attack on a weakpoint, so my party ran into problems against heavily armored enemies. Will I get enough points to be able to use all 3 elements at a high power on my Zodiac or can you only specialize in one or two? I dont really care about maxing the aoe spells too much because I doubt they will be more useful than straight single target damage
>>579555936Singularity, Etheric Charge, and their class skill take priority over everything else. The Stars work fine against most things, and you'll get elemental limits at some point when you need more damage against bigger threats
>>579555936Like that anon said, prioritize maxing etheric charge and singularity and just start with a point in each element. Eventually you should get them to at least five but that'll take time. Basically view the elemental limits as zodiac's signature "big damage attack" even though anybody can use them. Make sure the zodiac is paired with another high TEC ally. Having a zodiac/ninja clone works great for this but I'm sure you already have the sixth slot filled. Normal charged stars are used in between limits. The binaries will be needed if going for the prophecy skills but you won't end up getting that until very late in the game. They can be okay for randoms sometimes and the ant queen and narmer but aren't super necessary if you don't want the prophecies.
