I still fairly often, like one in 5 fights, get the bug where some people can't be moved during the placement phase and it says "path blocked" even though there's nothing that should be doing that. It sometimes happens when a character is standing on a stairs or other level from the rest of the party, but that's not the case now so it happens in more than one scenario.

When you build your character to be good at one thing and it doesn't matter because someone didn't balance the difficulty properly it makes everything feel a bit pointless, and this is why people break out the mods to pass stuff. I personally don't play with any mods at all but I totally get it for stuff like this. A max level character building for one specific thing shouldn't have only 15% chance to pass something. That makes the player feel like their build doesn't matter, which is not good game design. The hardest difficulty should be hard, but make it hard in terms of resources and combat, don't just make every skill check auto fail so you miss out on storybook sections, that's not fun.

Obsidian also has a track record for always "upgrading" (in their eyes) when they can budget for it (and usually on the tailcoats of another company) to full 3d and only ever make traditional RPGs when they have fallow years. From this perspective, Pentiment is actually a new low for them since it lacks combat mechanics and relies solely on an (albeit good and creative) time and exploration element for its dialogue resolutions.

Pit Bulls hurt, A LOT. Creatures react to sound in UR so dogs are more than just another critter wearing a different skin, they're also alarms. Think their detection is also higher than most humans, they can sniff you when you're in Stealth and attempt to bump you out of it.
