Unless you mean the badlands, I think it'd be fine to include the badlands but then you'd also get the southern mountains of the dawi which leads to constant expansion. Since the badlands are terra incognita of just orcs enough that you can use it as a no mans land.

The Blood Ravens are one of the most popular factions in 40k because one day the devs of a game said "You know what, screw the big legions, let's make our own OC chapter to lead our storyline". In that sense, it's not any harder to just come up with your own OC necromancer to be the big villain of a game. Or coming up with a mercenary company like the Grudgebringers.

>>580438932Well I'm not explaining it super well but the idea of a skirmish game would be similar to Total War's system for unit controls but you'd have more dynamic and intrinsic cover and hiding systems to properly simulate Vietnam. These aspects of the setting are easier to capture in an FPS or TPS but they're not so easy in a strategy game. I'm essentially using X-com to explain the unit movement to cover being somewhat automatic depending on where you position them. I think the 40K game actually does this as well currently
