I finished migrating the game to an SSD and the results are baffling to say the least. Going from the title screen to ingame previously took more than 5 MINUTES, now it takes 10 seconds. Teleporting anywhere takes 5 seconds now. It's kinda insane how fast shit loads in this game and how big the disparity is (yes SSD is faster but not 500 times faster, it has to be some engine bullshit lol). Also character models in the menu appear instantly now, before they will maybe show up when the voiceline is halfway finished.

So some follow up on Tangtang EP drama from someone who's familliar with Chinese hip-hop.In early August I caught g23's livestream (he was the producer of Tangtang EP) and asked him directly about the rapper they chose for it. He said that it wasn't his decision to hire Katie. It's not suprising, as g23 makes beats for high-tier artists, while Katie is a relatively unknown indie. So whoever at HG handled this song has serious problems, and whoever approved it clearly doesn't know Chinese rap. HG does a fair amount of rap, but mostly in EN, so Chinese players are ok with it. I'd still like the replacement song done by Chinese producers and vocalists, it just needs HG to be careful. English remake is the safe option, but it'll be boring.

It's the fact that I need to use Arsenal tickets, which forces you to pull on banners even after you have attained the wanted operator that pisses me off. Arsenal tickets are heavily gated, and the Exchange rate when using Yellow-rocks is even worse than what it is if used on the character banner. The big issue is that you can get fucked big-time depending on how lucky/unlucky you get with no real alternative than to outright whale for more pulls, even if you have saved up a shitload of the normal currency. Just to spell it out, and sorry for being pedantic. But let's say you get your operator on the first 10x pull, well now you only have approximately 2k tickets, enough for one 10-pull, if you don't get super lucky you now have to keep pulling on a banner you may not want too, or potentially wait months hoping that they release someone else you want before the the featured weapon goes away. It's 25/75 chance of getting it, witch is outright shitty as fucking hell compared to the chance usually being the other way around(still scummy weapon banners should never had been a thing, or at the very least 100% guaranteed) This put's players in incredibly frustrating positions where getting lucky on one banner can potentially fuck your pulling plans up big time, even more than loosing the usual 50/50 in most modern titles We get 100 tickets a week, and have a small chance of getting 20 from store refreshes, they don't reward them from events at all, and you can only buy a maximum of 4k tickets from the store using cash each patch. So if that fails you are forced to by ricks and eat the HORRIBLE exchange rate. Being annoyed by this system is not necessarily a defense of other games like Hoyo gacha's. But I think people used to those feel way more in control of their pulling strategies compared to the arsenal system.

Last Rite and Pog are the only good standard banner characters, and the only good not rate up weapon is Thermite Cutter (now technically not that good anymore because the only team that uses it is physical or if you're doing some meme Avy burst team). This means you just get frustrated more often2. They realized they fucked up by tieing the standard pulls to the arsenal tickets, which is why the amount they offer are pathetically low and the "free" 6 star selector is so hilariously high comparatively. You get barely any fun, low stakes pulls 3. If you actually get lucky on a character banner and get the character early you won't have enough arsenal tickets to get a weapon, so you have to continue to waste pulls on additional cons of characters you don't want, or hope that a character coming in the next 2 banners is a character that isn't meaningfully impacted by not having their sig and could just use the BP weapon (compounded further if you also luckshit that character) 4. No pity carry over means that if you don't luckshit a character you will be required to save 120 pulls, which as a F2P or even light spender equates to like two entire full patch windows of not pulling for anything. This creates two issues. The first being that if you are a retard you will get incredibly fucked and have to spend which pushes people away from the game, or two you have to save for months and simply not engage with the gacha system which also pushes people away from the game and reduces spending. The game simply doesn't have enough ongoing content to be sufficiently engaging enough to most people when you take out the gambling high, which is evidenced by the player count and earnings.
