Halo 2 was a mistake. Better quality precision weapons are nice, but level design heavily caters towards it past CE.Halo is at its best when its primarily a scrappy experience. Mid range fights aren't bad, but level geometry is much more accommodating to them generally and pushes the games more into being a shooting gallery (Halo 4). These sorts of things need to be mix ups, not the main design style.
