He played an entirely different metagame that was more "hardcore" and guild/community focused for years, only to get a watered down carebear version by Blizzard where everyone is just layered off.
Goldtooth gives 650xp.Killing a lvl 7 mob at lvl 7 gives 80xp. So, in summary, turning in the quest is worth 8.1 mob kills. Killing a lvl 7 mob at lvl 7 takes 15 seconds. So we can say, goldtooth is worth 2 minutes. Another thing we can say is there is a decent amount of running involved. And, if the time running exceeds 2 minutes, it’s now actually a time loss to complete the quest. You’re meant to be killing mobs while moving, but you’ll still find mob deadzones, and the time loss really starts to add up. 5 seconds here, 10 seconds there, 30 seconds without attacking a mob. The entire game is actually like this where quests are designed to be just BARELY worth doing, and if you get like even slightly unlucky with deadzoning you’ll experience xp inefficiency. Routing is actually important and harder than it looks. You NEED dense pathways to not experience deadzoning. Which means a huge amount of quests must be skipped. In theory anyways, in theory that’s true. In practice the record holder doesn’t skip and just gets really lucky.

Demographics are going to swing wildly in this game. Everyone will realize mage and paladin and warlock are still barely functioning classes in pve just spamming 1-2 buttons. Meanwhile Warrior will still be pressing Sunder, Demo, Rage Generator, Revenge Procs, Taunt, Shield Slam for threat, Heroic Strike/Cleave when rage filled, Thunderclap, Execute, etc etc etc.Warrior is still the most fun class to play in the game and once people lose their honeymoon phase and realize warrior is still both really good and really fun to play we will have a mass influx of browns.

One big nitpick I have with Vanilla that I hope they smooth out in Forever is the level ranges you need to pick up quests. Like you go to a new questing hub at lvl 20 but there are some quests you can't pick up until 21, 22, 23, 24 etc. It's super annoying and one of the main reasons people use leveling guides because sometimes you don't want to go to certain zones until you are a specific level to actually be able to pick up all the quests.

i think pvp realms suck actually.thinking about it, i mostly wanted to do pvp while leveling. enemy faction is taking a mob i want, i kill him and get the mob for myself. or i am just feeling bored and want to spice things up by fucking up somebody. that's the extent of the "positive" interactions.a fair amount of times, i get my teeth kicked in by multiple motherfuckers and i can't respond to it. or, i'm the one killing the mob and i get fucked up from half health. or, i get ganked by some high level guy. or, i'm trying to go to a dungeon and i get rolled because i'm going through contested territory. and the nightmare scenario of getting corpse camped.at high levels, the extent of my "pvp" is limited because i'm not really out in the world that much. very rarely do i want to "do" pvp in the world. it's usually as a group. we're going to a raid and we roll some motherfuckers 40 to 3 and they just can't respond (which sucks for them). or we're attacking an enemy city or something for fun.but a lot of the time, i don't really want to do world pvp at max level. i'm in the world for a purpose. i want to go pick up some material or do some attunement or i'm going to a raid/dungeon and fighting is a waste of time and i'd rather not be doing it. i had a plan to do something and now this combat with the other faction is fucking up my plans.do you really engage with world PVP that much? it feels like an inconvenience a lot of the times it happens (if not for me then for the other guy). but i don't know if i could go PVE. the times when it's good, it's good. but how often is that, really?
