The entire jailer shadowlands etc era was already grating on me and that interaction was the last straw. I don't see the writing getting any better since then. For a lot of us, being old warcraft 1-3 fans was the original reason we got into WoW, and that's just not present anymore. The people who made those games don't even work at the company anymore.So can anyone give me an honest case for why they still play WoW? Why they fork over 15usd a month to watch cutscenes about forgiving Sylvanus, or the newest secret elves that actually existed the whole time are now playable (second time they did this)? I hit level 10 on Forever. I am being honest here. Let me just get one thing clear: Retail is still the superior game. Period. However, there is something special about having one single character that accomplishes small things over and over again. Add to that with the slow gameplay, and you get something material. I can FEEL myself getting stronger slowly. On retail, I feel the same thing but it's 100x faster so it doesn't FEEL as important.
