Krillin's death is animated in a pretty silly way. he is given a closeup of himself screaming Goku's name as he violently explodes like a piñata with a firecracker inside it. the manga isn't much different. Frieza being melodramatic to get Broly's attention is meant to highlight how much of a coldblooded psychopath he is, the humour comes from the brazen audacity of his actions. His complete lack of conscience. It's dark comedy at best.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the idea of Mystipix? The problem with XV1 and 2 was that mentors were already reduced to nothing but move vendors. You could get some good dialogue out of them, but other than that they were more or less those robot CC things we see around Toki/Conton. Giving them actual roles in DLC 6 was a good step but they dropped that like a hot potato. Making them clones or whatever they're supposed to be here doubles down on the fact that these aren't really the characters but husks you're just taking shit from and discarding when you get it all. You're not actually bonding or fighting with them and they're not actually growing as fighters with them, and I hate that.

Guy, I just went C3 to A4 in solo queue with the rental Jiren. I would push S rank but I only care about the tangible rewards. I was planning on using my last tier 1 pick to get him but I guess I don't have to anymore. Jiren is so broken. He has a great early game, has a good knock up, heals himself, has great xp farming abilities, tanks so much damage, taps towers easy, and has a speed up mechanic at full bar which allows him to run away after destroying towers. His auto attack is crazy so you can get kills and apply pressure while you tap towers. He can hold off a 1v4 for a stupid amount of time. He's a pub stomp character who can carry solo queue easy. He accels at every role in the game. Also I swear, there are lots of SS and S ranks who suck, I swear they just get carried by premade coordination, their individual decision making and fighting are bad, in the beginning I'd get disheartened out by the SS enemies but a lot of the times they were surprisingly mediocre. Tank was easy to rank up this season but not as easy as last season with Bulma. I hate gekishin, I kept getting the same trolls who would afk run around in the base, even after reporting I'd get them again. The worst feeling is almost winning 3v4 gamse with multiple team wipes while having someone spin around in your base doing Nappa finger emotes. Fucking bandai, i feel like the report button does nothing. And since they are a4, they don't care about their rank cause you can't derank. Gekishin is a fun game, but the people who play it are just maddening. I'm okay with people who suck but try/give it their best but the constant trolls/rage quiters are too much to bear. I play on switch 2 on portable as well, and I always hated how they just ported the locked 30 fps switch version.

I think the main reason kamehameha wasn't given its own distinct color in the manga is that I don't think the kamehameha was supposed to be a specific type of ki wave as much as it was the idea of a ki wave at all. Like the kamehameha was supposed to be shooting ki out of your hands in a wave at all as ooposed to having a specific way of doing that. Hence the dodonpa refining that into a much smaller and much more damaging beam and them both being yellow, because that's just what ki looks like as opposed to there being "types" of these attacks like gallick gun or death beam like with what happened later in z, so you kind of needed to make up colors for clarity reasons. It'd never happen for coreography reasons but I wonder what the series would've been like if ki attacks were an earthling only thing. (it'd make things like the frieza force ki gun things and cell using the kamehameha being shocking a bit more congruent imo)
