What people need to understand is that none of the stuff Amy goes through in early IDW feels like developmental because it doesn't feel like stuff Amy wpuld reasonably be expected to do or act like. So when Amy leaves the restoration it doesn't feel like she learned a leasson and fixed her situation. It doesnt feel like an arc. There was no need to relegate 2D Sonic gameplay like that when they were already and continuing to use it in modern gameplay anyway.
