The bats' bodyparts all seem to have half as much health as a standard-sized body's does, so Tough halving incoming damage should make it equivalent. A strange interaction between Taeyun's chain bolt psycast and her cultivation is that it seems to activate Qi Burn multiple times per cast. Qi Burn by itself doesn't do much besides extremely minor pain and bleeding, but the cumulative damage causes it to fry pretty much every organ in the target's body. It makes it very useful for crowd control against lightly armored targets, like manhunters or cultists.

If having any defenses at the entrance of your base is exploiting to the point that you refuse to even have an entrance to your base because raiders might preferentially path towards it and allow them to be killed one by one, you can only say that having a wall around your base is exploiting as well because the raiders might preferentially path towards a weak spot like a door or a hole they made themselves. You built that wall with the intention of making the game easier, so you may as well kill all the raiders with dev mode.
