Or relaunch it with a better networking infrastructure.Halo kind of missed the boat for a grand return at this point.If we're being really honest that boat already probably left before even Infinite came out.Too much of the legacy fanbase has aged out of the mainstream or has moved on to something else, and even if you got them to all come back, the conditions for what made the games addicting to keep jumping back into can't be replicated because those people are not getting out of school to jump on and play with the same people or people their age anymore. I'm in my mid 30s with a kid and another on the way. I *can* make time for video games and I'll always enjoy classic Halo, but you can't rely on me or the other people who made the game a hit to populate it at the same frequency every afternoon. Any attempt to re-capture the fanfare of 2007 Xbox Live matchmaking will ultimately result in devs and game "journalists" scratching their heads and asking what went wrong when the game quickly dwindles to a few thousand people online at any time, regardless of the quality or faithfulness of the project. But you can work with MCC or a second attempt at something like it to keep the games more eternally playable and enjoyable, and that's all that really matters in the long run.

In case it helps anyone, this guy's solution worked. You can fix the stuttering in Infinite on a newer AMD card, by enabling Resizable BAR. On an older mboard you might have to first update your BIOS for the option to appear. On an i7 8700k + 9070 XT I'm now getting a perfectly smooth close to 150 fps at all times. It can be a reasonably well optimized game after you jump through some hoops
