And probably also have a significant cooldown, like every 15 minutes you can fly for as long as you can stay airborne with your 3 charges and glide regen. So like now and then you can use your flyer to cover a bunch of ground quickly. But you'll wanna run to somewhere high first to get max distance and you will still spend most of your travel time on a ground mount.I simply find gliding around in the sky super soulful and dont want to see it completely removed.

And that the speedrunning routes weren’t really that fleshed out by the community. Like I can definitely see value to retail but it felt to have destroyed the leveling experience which classic had developed. Leveling is warcraft that’s like the entire game. Max level content is just like leveling again except you’re leveling up your items. It’s also totally group based which isn’t really warcraft. Another thing is they added too many cutscenes. And also often ruined the very serious setting and feeling of the game with mandatory quests, so if they ever even think about making mandatory quests again I just want them to remember the MSQ from xiv. Mandatory quests are never a good idea. Unless it’s max level content like but to force me to do this long as fuck quest shit just to play the real game has never once worked. I get like ptsd flashbacks to dk and dh starting zones, where it’s like hours of unskippable content and npc dialog without any deviation to the path you have to complete the entire quest chain. Its just really bad and doesn’t work in my opinion.. yeah another thing is with difficulty being reduced due to highly mobile classes and also very strong defensive cooldowns. Like you’ll end up pulling EVERYTHING, and then aoe spell. And there’s just never any challenge only limited by spawn rates it’s just boring as fuck. The leveling on retail is probably so shit, dungeons also are so shit because you of level scaling meaning you just don’t compete and nobody really cares about the outcome. Classic dungeons are way more hardcore feeling..

I make my own arrow guide (I play ssf where we can’t trade with other players) and the arrow is the supreme way to replay content you’ve beaten before. And you adjust your arrow every time and like the 20th playthrough the arrow is fucking incredible and your xp rates are breaking records.

I CANNOT decide on what class to play. I've played since 2005, started out as the stereotypical huntard. Then SP and prot pally in TBC, and mained prot through Cata where I switched to guardian/feral druid all the way to SL when I went back to paladin. They following the pattern of all retails specs>build resource/buff with spell>spend resource/buff with another spellPeople cry about ability homogenization but the real killer is play style homogenization. The retail class designers only know build/spend. Where classic has most classes with just a bunch of spells and it's left up to you to decide how you cast them. There is no hard required interaction on a vast majority of spells. This is superior. I fucking hate the way they're making this retail. Movement is also not an important mechanic in pve or pvp, it’s yet again only single target damage. Theres no outplay you spec, because to actually kill someone means you need to do high single target dps. So evoker in retail I guess, they just made it strong as fuck. And it was actually too strong raids were like half of these fucking things. It’s just not mmo gameplay. Arcane will never be a mage spec, it’s fire ice and lightning those are the actual mage archetypes. Arcane is like its own seperate thing that can be found on many different themes, like it’s an excuse to do basically any type of spell. Arcane can be tanks, it can be a summoner class, it can be a conjurer, it can be a support, it’s just like literally anything and it’s stupid. Arcane was used instead of lightning in wow as a result of limited talent points, meaning one tree was likely to be used as a type of filler or buffer of your other trees. So if they used lightning instead you’d just be playing lightning mage and taking some buffing talents from frost and fire. And lighting is essentially similar to frost, it’s an immobilizing DPS theme. Or it can debuff like if you’re shocked you’d expect to be weakened. So there’s tons of ability tooltip overlap basically so they just chose frost instead, probably because the visual effect is more eye catching.

The server is also AI based so it will try to find other players with high amount of pvp kills together. So you won't even need to arrange a GvG your guild could just make a raid then roam around where you want to farm and you will run across a different faction guild looking for a fight. They also have property rollbacks so people in Eu/Asia won't lag as much as if they made a character on a NA server. The server will even detect people of the same language and put them together. Unlike GW or other shitty mmos this is megaservers done right.
