So what did the spawn changes actually do? The only thing I seemed to notice was kinda reduced bot numbers when I dove on the mega factory last night. The bot waves also seemed to be more staggered, like the bot drops would be more delayed or something, hard to describe. Anybody noticed anything about it?

Is the Maelstrom good? I see people complain about it, but I see those same people get so close to enemies that it's missile launcher struggles to hit them. I haven't used it much, but it seems about as strong as the normal Bastion, just with a stronger HMG and an alternative to the cannon that's a bit weaker.

Basically, throw one of these at a patrol and you kill the hulk/strider + a handful of devestators. The old seekers needed two nades per devastator with much less aoe so these are basically like getting on extra nade, not losing two.
