It's the worst out of the PS2 games on replays. Legitimately over half the missions are bad. The game just breaks if you're actually competent at it, you destroy targets too fast and the game still has to play out all the dialogue before advancing so it just throws waves of re-spawning enemies at you, often in really obvious ways. Spawn killing SAMs and tanks is just not fun gameplay.And it can make the ammo problem worse too. As you get better you use less ammo per target but you also take down way more targets which leads to more total ammo usage.

I know no spoilers, pure speculation based off of Hour Zero Episode 3. The guy who handed the studio director his script was either a genuine FCU glowy or possibly part of a collaborator breakaway FCU state trying to disorient the FCU response during the opening shots of the war. Lack of internal loyalty was why the FCU basically instantly disintegrated and why the reporter lady is still bitching about an absent FCU response even a month later. The other guy? The one who stays silent but checks his watch before the final Rod from God shots? He's a corpo with DD's people. The twist will be that the corp was playing both sides to try to test their ability to control and manipulate information flow. Their final product is some AI system that will lock down freedom of information and thought forever, like the patriot AI or that one from the last Mission Impossible movies. Our heroes will take it down but it will start setting the stage for corporate control of national affairs and sophisticated information networks like the Electrosphere. Once again I know nothing, just my bet on the plot after watching the last episode.
