Just finished part 2 of the canto... It's ok, but so far it has NOTHING to do with the books. tl;dr of the book: Meursault is an autist, just like /ourguy/ from the game. He makes friends with some bad dudes, and while he's hanging out with them and his girl at the beach, he gets into a fight with an Arab guy who pulls a knife on him, and Meursault ends up shooting him because it was hot as fuck and the sun was blinding him and it was hot. At the trial, he's condemned more for his indifference than for the killing itself. Public opinion about him is like: "Meursault is a menace to society! At his own mother's funeral he sat down and accepted COFFEE!!!!". During the final part of the trial, it's hot as fuck, the fans aren't working, everyone is sweating, and Meursault completely fails to defend himself. He drops his spaghetti in front of the jury and gets the death sentence. The bad dudes, a barman, and his girlfriend all try to defend him, but it's all in vain. While he awaits his execution, the final boss shows up: a priest who tries to get him to repent and accept GOD. Meursault goes full autistic mode and actually makes the priest cry (LOL, best part of the book). Then he dies.I really liked the book, but so far this song has NOTHING to do with it
