Fps is all over the place between 60 and 120+. The menu has no framegen option so perhaps turning it on via nvidia inspector would do good for you.

If anyone is wondering what difficulty to pick, I'm a pretty middling AC player (played them all but I've never been that good at them) and Veteran is pretty easy so far (up to mission 12), never had issues with ammo (unlimited gun), gotten all the medals and the only deaths I've had are when I fucked up the tunnel in mission 4 twice. Not sure how Elite compares though.
