The only thing I don't like in the basic sister's weapon line up is the plasma gun. The only plasma weapon I've seen sisters use in lore/tabletop is plasma pistol. Not a full on plasma gun.

Bad smite usage not only wastes your own damage potential, it also slows the game down if you're stunning a whole room instead of letting them group up, and it takes the fun out of the game for everyone else if someone is just turning every encounter into a bunch of pinatas to beat on. As long as you think about it in those terms, you should get a handle on being useful with it in no time.
The symbols on the windows on the far right and far left might be a little hint too.
