The slug round creates a large stasis crystal on impact, precision kills create a freezing burst.

Just keep in mind Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind and Forsaken campaigns aren't present in the game currently but will be eventuallyâ„¢. You'll get a decent 30-40 hour experience from just playing the campaigns and some of the side stuff on the destinations. Stuff outside of the campaigns is territory where you might need to look at guides sadly. If you got buds that also haven't played the game before I would highly recommend doing some of the dungeons in the game blind as raids are less forgiving and require 6 people so that is the kind of stuff that requires guides.

These were design decisions and goals for D2 development starting with Forsaken. They could have gone far deeper into the shooter side of the game, with better weapon customization instead of less, more gun variety instead of less (by way of forced metas), abilities that gave passives to weapons, instead of removing what passives did exist, and making all guns roll with overpowered verb effects. The list goes on, but the current state of the game was the result of catering to streamers, and chasing "watchability." Pre-MoT when there were more players on Destiny than D2, it was universally accepted that Destiny was a more fun experience because it was a shooter first, and ability spam was nearly non-existent.
