I think I've figured out.How to "fix" Yugioh.Although it's not so much of a fix by itself, it's more of a path.The catch is that Konami has already tried many different things; speed duels, duel links, rush, genesys, and of those attempts kinda failed, not because the format itself is worse, but because the old player base is too invested into advanced.So the answer has to be something that would make these old players invested in a different format, it can't alienate the players like rush did, but it also has to offer an unique experience unlike genesys.It's quite simple actually, the answer is right in between.Genesys-only cards.You can't fucking use them in advanced for the sole reason that we want you invested into genesys.Now genesys doesn't feel like just a dumbed-down advanced, it's still familiar but also refreshing, you keep all your cards, but it slowly evolves into its own thing.If you get invested into genesys then eventually you'll refuse to drop it for the same reason people refuse to drop advanced; they're too deep into it and don't want to let go of all the time and money they've spent into this hobby.It's an evil plan because it makes genesys compete with advanced rather than co-exist.I know Konami will never do something this risky although MR4 was even more risky anyway, but yeah, at least I can tell I would want to check a different format if it had unique content.

All while the other Pots that exist can outperform pot of greed in their respective decks (a 3 of extravagance > the 1 of pot of greed that might be a brick if you used extrav or prosp). And with how common handtraps are, the TTT's are better at giving you draws.
