You can't switch specs or gear mid combat and most of the time at 60 you aren't doing content that would ever require you to actually be an offhealer or do other shit like that. Usually you have your set role and you don't deviate. The only times where a hybrid comes into play in those scenarios is like low level dungeons where the players are all shit and the healer doesn't drink so the warrior is dying so you throw out a quick flash of light or two to finish the pull with no deaths. This doesn't happen in raid, ever. Everyone is trying to parse. No one is sacrificing mana to cast a flash of light on a random dps, the healers are on it. Now in PvP though? Hybrid tax is exactly what the game needs. You can't just make every class as strong as Warriors because it ruins pvp. Warriors are strong as fuck, but they need a ton of help. If you don't have a pocket healer, buffs, and consumes you will struggle even against your average joe mage who only has frost armor + arcane int and no healer. So if the mage was doing warrior damage on top of all their pvp utility on top of having all the consumes + pocket healer they would be practically fucking invincible. So if they want to keep PvP an unbalanced mess that isn't meant to be taken seriously, then that's fine just say that. But I seriously think that's a very bad route to go down because PvP is one of the only things that keeps the game from being a raidlog simulator. And if Hybrids are running PvP into the ground, the game is going to suck ass.

I levelled a lock to 17 with a controller and then switched to my priest and got him up from 17 to 19.90 and did DM. Why are people pretending that rets aren't going to have SP on their stam/str/agi gear so they will still heal themselves pretty decently in pvp? We already have crafted blues at level 20 that give them like 80hsp. Sure not as high as the 200hsp healer gear, but still better than a Rogue/Warrior that can't heal themselves.
