The Felix A. Kjellberg Memorial Bridge into town is now open.My plan for the city is to have it surrounded on all sides by either water or defensive walls to protect the villagers from mobs. As such, this bridge will be the only way via land to access or leave the city, unless I decide at some point in the future to go forward with my plan to build a passenger rail line with a station somewhere in the city.
>>583196469>>583193001Face of Minecraft if the Creeper were never accidentally created and turNed mainstream btw.
>>583200542Terraforming the area immediately past the bridge was an absolute bitch, but the upshot is that I can now use it to build an automated tree farm, which is going to be a massive boon. The tree farm is going to let me harvest sap, which I can use to make special fertilizer for growing all of the crops I need to automate various food items, it'll give me wood for building and for turning into plastic, and resin which I can turn into fuel.
any recommendations for modpacks with a ton of shit to do but that aren't brutally difficult or tedious grinds like gregtech? i really liked bcg how there was lot of technical stuff to do like building factories but also a lot of decoration, plus the whole pokemon shit but i felt like it was missing out on some type of magical mod and more endgame bosses and dungeon type stuff
It's taken me hours just to get an Electric gem. Spent days farming against electric types, but no gems, so I had to look it up and heard of a thing called a "Store Card", which points you to the nearest mega-mart. Took a while to get there, had to find a fast flying type to fly me around. Now this new map to find Lt. Surge is pointing somewhere far, far away. Pretty cool.Biggest struggle now is leather. Only way to get it is by buying it at 1.2k a piece or getting lucky by the few pokemon to spawn and then them actually dropping it. Day 94, still no enchantment table. Also I found out that Trainers only spawn if you have the Trainer Card directly in your inventory. Unsure if I want to farm against the trainers for the cash to get my enchantment up and running or seek out Lt. Surge and prepare tob eat his ass.

How do AS rituals even work? I want to set up a Lucerna ritual to illuminate the area around my base and a Mineralis ritual to bypass progression but I have only the vaguest idea of how they work (ie. that you need a ritual pedestal and an attuned crystal).
>>583242339How do I make money like this?
Dang, they're adding a new dimension to vanilla? Crazy... anyways, time to ignore that shit and work on my modpack! I hate vanilla enchanting so I'm reworking enchanting so that you have to make enchanted books using Create sequenced assembly. I will also add horizontal progression by making certain mid game tool materials come with certain enchantments when crafted. For example, brass tools will come with silk touch by default so you don't need to grind end game tools before you can pick up glass. I also want to rework the progression system so it feels more intentional and a bit longer too. I already tweaked tool stats for this purpose so that mining speed and durability are expected to come from tool material and not enchants.
>>583248417>For example, brass tools will come with silk touch by default so you don't need to grind end game tools before you can pick up glass.it sounds like you're reinventing tinkers construct but worse

>someone made a slopcoded fork of celeritas that adds shader support>it actually does exactly what it says it does and runs much smoother than optifine with a shader in a large modpackok, what's the catch. >>583261775Upon a brief bit of testing, it looks like the screen goes black if you try to toggle the HUD or go into 3rd person. If that's the only drawback, then I think I can just about live with that.
>>583261775On something of a tangent, the curse page for pintonium (the celeritas fork) said that it was specifically tested and determined to be compatible with the event horizon shaderpack for 1.12. I had never heard of it before, so I decided to give it a try. I am definitely a fan.

>>583261775Try AUSM if you want a shader mod that can run with Cleanroom
>>583228536I already did it.It’s an excellent debugger for janky kitbashes.I vibe-merged Cobbleverse’s quest system into Mayview.I also updated all of mayviews mods and added a few more extra by hand. But i let the LLM debug any errors to keep the modpack clean.
>>583268539AUSM doesn't seem to work for me at all, for whatever reason. I'm sure it's user error, because I'm a fucking tech illiterate retard. First of all, it crashes right before hitting the main menu if I have nothirium installed, despite it explicitly advertising compatibility with nothirium, and also in-game, the shaders just don't work. I'm not really sure what to do. I'd like to use AUSM over pintonium because the former doesn't appear to be slopcoded, but pint is the only one I've been able to get working.
>>583270689>also in-game, the shaders just don't workShader is disable by default and you need to press O to open shader menu

>>583272494trying out cube warp pack anon pasted last thread, seems cool so far
>>583271936Also , you can fix Nothirium crash by adding Naughthirium patch
>>583272940I was already using naughtirium because nothirium was crashing my game on startup without it even before I got shaders involved. Is it possible that the issue is me not updating cleanroom to the newest version? Updating it breaks a bunch of my mods so I've been using I think version 0.5.14
>>583248417I was going to suggest using Enchantment Industry as a baseline, but honestly what you’re planning might be better. It’s a neat idea to require materials other than diamond into the midgame, using metals that require some processing like brass is a sensible way to gate progress behind something other than an XP farm. Also just increase durability in general, vanilla iron tools should have the durability of diamond. Diamond could be completely unbreakable, eliminating the purpose of mending. Or maybe all tools should be unbreakable, without durability being a balance factor at all, unless maybe you wanted to use a specific material that has other advantages. That said, I don’t really like the aesthetic of crafting enchanted books. It’s only barely better than putting a piston on your sword for knockback. Crafting a feather with a book to make feather-falling is silly, but using a printing press to copy such a book using ink and liquid XP is overly industrial themed for a magic system, and enforces the need for an XP farm. If you ditch the XP requirement it’s flat-out OP. I guess there’s a middleground where enchanted books are replaced with “upgrade kits” with no magic theme.Maybe everything should be inherent to the crafted item, with some enchantments being material specific, and others being tool specific. Ideally you’d have a variety of each type of tool, in the same way that mods like Spartan Weapons add a variety of weapon types. Perhaps 3 types of pickaxe, depending on if you’re after speed or fortune or silk touch, though maybe it should be just two variants for speed vs durability, with silk touch and fortune (and autosmelt) being material specific. For a bow you’d make flame material specific for sure, but a longbow and shortbow would have upsides and downsides in their enchantments.
>>583274973Probably, im running Clearoom 0.6.13 and everything work fine.
>>583275275make metal tools have a "deforming" trait, based on their irl ductilityas the tool becomes more deformed, it becomes blunt and needs sharpening/reforgingyou don't allow gems to be used for tools directly, but they can be embedded in the metal to increase mining level or durability, and reduce deforming
>>583276998Hm. Unfortunate. 0.6.14 crashes my game almost instantly upon startup.Strangely, after some testing, it looks like nothirium will run fine on its own, but not with the patch. So attempting to fix the mod breaks, and removing the fix fixes it. Man, I love technology.

I'm playing Cube Warper right now. I saw the teaser for it a while ago and the full release made me break my Minecraft abstinence. It's alright so far. It amuses me greatly that all packs with Create in it have wildly different recipes. I also like that it's very light on combat. But I don't get where I'm supposed to get gravel for the Tinker's Construct smeltery.
>>583254659Can you add NEEP Aeronautics stuff? Pumping synthetic bodily fluids between a mechanical lung and a dragon heart device to produce lift would be very cool.I wish there was a KubeJS addon for Sable.
>>583277064Ductility for durability, hardness for mining level? That would work decently, though getting a progressive speed debuff as the tool gets used wouldn't be trivial to implement. I'm half of a mind to ditch the durability system entirely, especially if there isn't meant to be a focus on tool crafting in the pack.
Soon this will be us.Again.
I wanted a nice plain vanilla playthrough but these guys and their light ignoring spawning has filtered me. Don't laugh.
Set up my fully-autonomous steves carts tree farm. Or half of it, anyway. I haven't made the second cart yet. I don't have ender chests yet to let me teleport wood to my computer for storage, so I just spammed a bunch of chests on top of the cart managers that I'll have to periodically check on.Next step is setting up a bunch of thermal tree taps to harvest sap for fertilizer. I won't need an endertank for the sap. I think it'd look cooler to have a bunch of pipes running across the river leading to a sap reservoir outside my factory.

So barring a bit more terraforming that still needs to be done, this is the space we're working with for the downtown area of the city. I've started tentatively sketching out some major roadways. I also built at least just the skeleton for corporate HQ to begin working on how I'm going to space everything out. As for the adjacent area in front of the factory, my plan for that is to build some suburban neighborhoods there where they're sort of outside the city and a bit closer to nature. I'll probably also put in a big treeline at one point that makes it so you can't see the factory from the suburbs to make them feel more peaceful.
>>583275275I got enchantment industry for the experience qol, though I'll disable the blaze enchanter and printer along with the enchanting table and librarians. I'm planning on adding a way to turn lapis into experience so it still has a use. Maybe I'll keep mobs from dropping xp too, though I'm still figuring that out. Right now enchanting works by making magical books with energy and then adding a specific item, an elemental reagent, and liquid exp. >2026>lawnmaxxin issue has still not been resolvedWhat's the point of modded Minecraft and vibecoding when we can't solve the eternal problem?
>>583337771Lawnbasing is a problem not with the pack, but with the player himself. Occasionally the pack could be slightly at fault, by arbitrarily gating or locking certain tools for building or relatively easily automatable building blocks to a later point in the pack after you've already built up a significant amount of infrastructure, or by not including any or enough fun building mods. But the lack of inclusion of deco mods can be easily remedied by the player. The soulless husks that use ai for shit would also naturally never be able to do anything but lawnbase, as building proper structures requires some amount of creativity.

After fucking around with AI all morning to... mixed results, I'm heading back to the mine. I'm running low on copper and iron.I'd like to make an oil pipeline from the derrick back to my base in order to fully automate diesel production. The oil derrick is relatively far away from my base, so it's going to take a shitton of iron to make all the necessary piping. Once I've finished my tree farm, I'll then also need another long pipeline bringing the tree resin over to a bank of fractionating stills to make tree oil.

I’ve just got 12GB VRAM, also 32GB DDR5 in the PC itself but from what I hear it’s much faster to run models solely using VRAM. Surely there are workflows that make use with less VRAM by just taking longer, right?

>>583385483Yeah I asked them, one guy recommended Qwen3.6-35B-A3B Bartowski Q5, which I believe is a Mixture of Experts model. My limited understanding suggests that means it runs smaller subsections that may each fit in VRAM, but even if not I’ll see what the speed is like.Nobody was talking about local models in the agentic/vibe coding general, but I’m not trying to write code without a human in the loop, so I might be fine.

>>583384321>Isn’t that the datapack that you can’t configure at allYeah. I kinda prefer that it uses default wood types because that mean it works with Woodworks without a patch. I think some of the biomes are really nice too, and the abundance of clay in certain biomes make it not a slog. But for every alpine highlands we get a yellowstone. Might just drop it and take the vanilla amplified pill in the end. I also remember Geophilic being pretty good minus where it broke kaleidoscope tavern grapevine growth
just more copper farming for the roof and details on my sawmill/orchard. Caught an elekid and a geodude, one by wild spawn and one by honey tree.
>>583431054>that mean it works with Woodworks without a patchYeah that is an issue with other biome mods. But No Man's Land just adds two wood types, it works with quite a lot of addon mods, like the cabinets in Farmer's Delight. You might be able to disable the new wood types in some biome mods?
>>583360342No!! I love you. :D
The cube warper pack is pretty cool
>>583427358It's a bit too hardcore, and aesthetically jarring. I'm looking more for a wider variety of mobs. Ideally some of them are neutral, and attack you if you damage the trees. Maybe those features can be tweaked, I hear KubeJS is pretty powerful. There's already a system for aggroing based off player actions in piglins, when a player mines gold ore or opens a chest. Bees too. I don't want to retexture and remodel piglins and brutes to be forest insects.

>>583458808it's there to have different ways of achieving the same thing, some like those miners because you set them up properly once and they're fully automated, you just have to make sure to make the system in a way that pulls them out before they break and repair them

>>583457280Thaumcraft, Blood magic most magic mods are complicated enough and take you on a tangent that focuses almost solely on the magic mod that you might as well get a decently big reward for going on that tangent. The only mods I’ve found that work with Aether accessories are some of the gravestone mods.Maybe a mod that forces Aether accessories into Curios is something worth commissioning or slopping?>>583454965For me, vanilla plus means mods that expand on incomplete vanilla features. Fishing, enchanting, The End, dungeons, weather, redstone, hostile mobs, farming, etc. So long as they don’t expand the feature beyond what is necessary, or add completely new mechanics when an acceptable vanilla mechanic exists, I’d call them vanilla plus.I’d distinguish these content mods from purely aesthetic or client-only mods.>>583470464I’d consider using Connector, maybe. I’d even consider a Fabric pack if everything I want for that pack is on Fabric. Can’t make Create packs forever.Otherwise, maybe it’s possible to slop-port it, even converting it into an addon for Aether Legacy.
>>583454965I consider anything that feels like it would be in line with vanilla to be vanilla+A good example of that for me would be like maybe the Let's Do mods which expand on vanilla mechanics or add new ones that don't really feel out of place. But it really kinda depends on the person desu

>>583483636that was the kid's corner, I thought it would look better without windows. as for the second floor, I made sure to fully deck it with windows.
>>583498490What’s the fabric seasons mod like? Serene seasons seems to have the most mod compat, but I like how Ecliptic Seasons makes virtual snow, instead of having to deal with real snow layers generating and vanishing.
Made some progress on the automated tree farm today. Only thing I still need to do is farm some ender pearls so I can set up a pair of enderchests that teleport lumber from the nursery into the factory.I might have to reevaluate whether solar engines were the best fit for the steves carts woodcutter carts. They frequently get stuck under big trees after blowing all of their energy while not in direct sunlight, meaning they can't move themselves to charge up. What I could do is have some of the wood they cut getting cooked into charcoal and then have another ender chest teleport that charcoal back to the carts to refuel a thermal engine, but I don't feel like taking another 40 minutes (carts take 20 minutes to assemble each) just to tinker with the engine's right now.My next project is to use the sap to make fertilizer so I can put a bunch of phytogenic insulators in the greenhouse growing heat and climate crops which I can use for crafting some better food.
>>583517492Fair enough then.>>583522560What texture pack? I remember watching a Yogscast tekkit video where they were using Sphax PureBdcraft for it. I don't know how to get modding texture packs to work with mods to be honest. I also don't know how to get into pixel art for contributing to texture packs. >Dokucraft still goingBless the ones still keeping that alive.>Bdcraft still goingI'm amazed really. I miss Doku's RPG though. A modified version was what Yogscast was using in their Shadow of Israphel series.
>>583523349>What texture pack? It's called mizunos/ mizunocraft. I like it because its 16x16 textures, which is minecraft's default texture resolution and thus the texture resolution used by most mods, so mizunos is pretty good at not clashing with the textures in a large modpack. It also has biomes o plenty support just for further compatibility.>Sphax PureBdcraftsome anons might call me crazy for saying this, but sphax is starting to grow on me. >>583523872>I like it because its 16x16 textures, which is minecraft's default texture resolution and thus the texture resolution used by most modsThat's fair.I miss when Dokucraft team had "minidoku." I think they dropped it because one can't just "resize down" the 32x texture packs and get a nice effect. That and computers are more powerful than ever so a 16x texture pack for those people with weaker machines has gotten lower.Makes me a little disappointed. I think the dokucraft team maintainers has now become "skeletal" these days so I'm not sure where to even look to learn pixel art for Minecraft resource texture pack work. And I think making a texture pack is more daunting than ever given that there are far more blocks and mobs than ever before so most just stick with default. I wonder how much TheSyndicateProject and Yogscast played a role in Dokucraft's popularity.
>>583527790Wait Minidoku light is technically "still going" but the last update was around 2020. https://dokucraft.co.uk/resource-packs/minidokuMinidoku dark and high have been discontinued. Dark is just dark and dreary textures for Minecraft. Think Dark Souls colour palette. And High is like "high elf" color palette.Light is the default. I remember a "lush" texture pack. I think it was called that. There's a dwarven texture pack too.>There's lads keeping Doku's RPG somewhat alive>https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/dokus-rpgThese classic packs being kept alive sometimes makes me sad that I didn't contribute beyond a stupid little GIMP recolor of stone blocks for the nether back when I was a teenager.

Back at it again with a fresh beat, while I'm not 100% sure I want to keep MI in the desert survival pack I feel like half the issue is that MI's boiler's work too well with the jank infinite water setup you can do via a quick nether visit and some alloying through a different mod (using deployer and a bottle on a water block then sending it to a drain)The only efficiency I set up here is that the deployer and pumps are working at max speed which is like 3k or 4k in SU, pretty trivial to obtainSo assuming we have access to infinite water at a pretty low efficiency set up, the Steel boiler that produces 16 steam per tick can sustain itself on 17 machines running constantly (mathematically should be 16 but I think there's some coding quirks) and so at 18 machines it uses up too much water from once again, a deployer running at max speed and shoving a water bottle into a drain every 3 seconds or so feeling like the solution is to just, cut the water conversion in half maybe steam conversion too (if anyone knows where this data file would be i would appreciate)i don't like that MI turned the "woah fuck i'm in the desert what do i do about water" into a "uh yeah I'd basically have to set up an entire factory before I worry about water again" before the early game was even done, but I also don't like that I was spending so much time at base jerking off machines, i wanted to be out in the world or in the caves getting scared by demons, or working towards setting up train tracks to journey to far out lands -- probably do need to set up the multiblock machines that make resources out of thin air only work in the caves too because yeah aint no reason to go back mining unless you want to progress up to the next tier

I can bulk-produce straw for rope and safety nets on a larger property than my three shacks near spawn and maybe get livestock.
>>583593996Why do you need to find the first gym before? Is this Cobbleverse or your own modpack? I'd highly recommend to get Waystones, or any preferred fast travel method. Those things can be literally ten thousand blocks away.
>>583595148I can sadly only level my mons to 15, apparently, so if I want to invest more time into raising mons im gonna need the level cap to increase, and no, this is my own modpack; I just got some ideas and resource packs from cobblverse like their grass textures and currency/trainer systems. The main difference is that I have the mining addon that lets you farm fossils / evo stones and terra shards more easily.
>>583596774I meant more so you don't want to build a house before you find the gym? I don't know, just found it odd. I'm still rocking Cobbleverse, have to pivot to auto-farms now which is kinda lame.

Finally got around to setting up the resin generator bank. There's a small battery of three fractionating stills behind the generators and a long pipe running from said stills to the outdoor fluid tanks in >>583522560 which are themselves connected to a long pipeline that connects to a bank of tree taps in my tree farm harvesting resin, which the stills turn into tree oil which produces 400k RF.In my last playthrough, I had a bank of these TE compression dynamos powered by gasoline, which is 3x more efficient than tree oil, but costs a lot of energy to make in the first place, because of the need to pump oil up with a derrick and then use a thermal cracking tower to refine it into oil which draws thousands of RF/tick. Tree oil is less efficient, but costs almost nothing to make, and is basically infinite.I'll still have a bank of some IE diesel generators connected to the diesel reservoirs next to my distillation tower for emergency mass power generation, but otherwise, we'll just coast off of solar, tree oil, and waterwheels. Might also do some windmills in the future if I can find a good place for them.Next step for tomorrow is making an underground oil pipeline back to the factory so I don't have to micromanage oil like I am now.>>583621503I'm finding increasingly that I don't like minimap/ world map mods. They're just kinda OP and unimmersive. How are they supposed to work in-game? Are we just assuming that every steve has an eidetic memory and can perfectly recall all of the precise details of everywhere they've ever been even if they only saw a spot once a long time ago?Antique Atlas is the exception to this because it requires you to actually craft an item first before you can access the world map, and because there's a lack of detail to the map itself, as if you're sketching out rough details of the landscape as you go.

>>583636968comp reimagined high settings
>>583630943You know, this actually got me thinking, the main reason cited for not having numbers is so players don't minmax everything. But the issue I see about this is people that would want to minmax can just look at the github for the exact numerical mana amounts. If anything I think it makes it harder for newer players to actually assess how much mana each generating flower can give

Redstone automation has always been about minmaxing.Instead of hiding values, the mod should have them change. Time of day, biome, phase of moon, etc. Mainly just little fluctuations, and let the player quantify them, but it would make any attempt to min-max extremely esoteric.

I've been playing Linggango and it kinda pisses me off honestly. There's several dozen massive content mods here and zero guidance on how I'm supposed to be able to prepare for bosses. Anything using iron is locked behind the first boss, but the first boss has 50 armor and 600 HP and if you ask on the discord all you'll see is "git gud" or "skill issue"
Come shop
is this MAWPChttps://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create-flight-control
what's the point of tech packs, especially shit like energized power or oritech? i find enough ores as-is per mining trip, so ore duplication isnt on my mind, and everything else the mods offer is abstract enough that i can't focus on that endgoal while im out gathering resources.
>>583708146Lingango feels like one of those kitchen sink packs where somebody throws in a bunch of mods together without much thought put into making them fit well. I played it before since some buddies were playing it, and I do have to say it did seem like mod balance was all over the place. I remember there being one mod that one of the people on the server managed to kill Ignis with two punches from his fist. I don't even know how he managed to pull that off. But as I remember you can do workarounds by using modded gear you can find in chests or such, and I know when I fought that boss, I fought it in water since I just wanted to get it over with and it is very slow in water.
>>583712863Yeah, the magic block gyroscope from aeroworks is also cheating. Most of the fun with aeronautics and the physics system comes from figuring out how to balance your aircraft and how to make good controls for it, if you just magic block those problems away you're not left with a whole lot of interesting challenges to solve, you might as well play VS.
>>583712863No, minecraft isnt CBT, you don't have to do anything you don't want to
>>583713042kinda realizing thats the point of quest books. they give you a real, immediate reason to give a shit about tech mods that don't provide concrete improvements over vanilla methods. The hell's the point of an Enderic Laser or a Stone Solidifier anyways?
>>583713107The pack has had a lot of huge updates over the past month and especially over the past week. There's a ton of custom content and mods made just for it now but the weird thing is so much of what's in it still feels like an aimless kitchen sink. Earlygame you're apparently supposed to raid overworld structures for curios to make the first boss easier, but I'm not finding anything that directly or significantly indirectly increases DPS to an extent that 50 armor and 600 HP is at all reasonable before having iron tools and weapons.
>>583713042the individual mods just add machines and new ways of doing things, and items like gear or whatever for going through their own progression. when they add ways to get lots and lots of resources but no good thing to do with all of them, that's where modpacks come in. with modifying recipes to be way more expensive, and adding end game goals to do with all those resources, and new ways to use the machines mods give you.
>>583724434>lots of resources but no good thing to do with all of them, yea thats my biggest problem with Vanilla minecraftoutside of creative building there is zero reason to collect shit you can pretty much fight the dragon naked if you wanted too
>>583719785Oh, fair. I played it months ago so that could be it. But yeah. That kinda sounds bullshit when it is tankier than the fucking Warden when you don't even have access to iron.
We are so back
>>583713042ore duplication means fewer mining trips needed. it's the same as the fortune enchantment.
We've struck iron, and tons of it! I burned through like 2,000 ingots between making steel scaffolding and iron pipes so my reserves at this point are almost nonexistent. I'd like for this to be my new forever world after I nuked the last one.
Fluxed phyto-gro (max tier TE fertilizer) is now being somewhat autonomously mass produced, which means I can start building phytogenic insolators (I've been calling them insulators but I just noticed today that they're actually called inSOLators, presumably because they infuse the sun into the crops) to grow ender pearls, which I need to build elevators and shit.
So why are horror mods so popular in minecraft?
>>583738201Youtube clickbait.
>>583738287Sucks, since when I am in the mood to watch others playing modded for maybe some new ideas or to see people experiencing certain mods for the first time, a lot of that slop floods youtube search results for modded minecraft. I did find one video where somebody was hunting down those kind of mobs with a shotgun interesting to watch at least.
Next major project for the upcoming long weekend: revamp cultivation to sustain mass production of dozens of different food items. This is my current "industrial" animal husbandry area, and the industrial greenhouse isn't much better. I found a mod that lets you put various food items in tin cans. The mod also adds hardtack which you can bundle together into big crates. Ideally I'd like to automate all or most of this shit so that I always have a giant stockpile of food I can pull from to make hunger a non-issue (I'm using spice of life), because at this point I've been almost entirely subsisting off of boiled egg and zombie jerky sandwiches, which isn't ideal long-term.

I think it'll look a lot cooler when I fill it with banks of phytogenic insolators.
>>583756314>I've kind of posted it beforeI think that came off sounding kind of snarky. I meant I've kind of posted it before insofar as it's been part of the factory for a while and as such has shown up in the periphery of lots of exterior shots I've done in the past (like in >>583637783), but I don't think I've ever posted a shot focused on the greenhouse itself primarily because of the fact that it is so lame and empty right now

>>583774763the whole point of crash landing is harvesting resources from the sand while conserving water, and power is also a concern. Create doesn’t fit every pack
>>583774763>can anyone explain why this is a bad thing create is cooler than magic boxesIDK about that pack in particular, but it's just not very good pack design to have overlapping features. Especially ones at different power levels. It makes the pack seem poorly thought out if one feature obsoletes another. It's why I'm very apprehensive about adding other tech mods alongside Create. They add their own types of item, fluid, and power logistics that compete with Create's. The power logistics doesn't matter as much because they're a different format, and having reason to convert from one type to another brings depth to a pack. But you then have to justify why a mod that adds its own electricity generation systems (almost all of which would imply a rotating generator) would be better than a mod like Power Grid.PneumaticCraft meshes decently I think, with the bridge mod and a tiny bit of tweaking, the only way to make compressed air is by feeding SU into an air compressor. Not sure how the backtank gets integrated into that all. Aesthetics match less so, though between clockpunk and dieselpunk you can approach a steampunk middleground. I still think the higher tech parts (plastics and drones) would better be cut in that case.PneumaticCraft is what I'd call a secondary tech mod, one designed to augment and not replace other tech mods. AE2 also fits into this category, though it clashes heavily with the Create aesthetic. Same for Draconic Evolution. TechGuns and most nuclear mods too. But for nuversions, there's a lot more Create addons (and AE2 addons) then there are secondary tech mods.I've a temptation to make a progression pack where you start off using Create primitively, then progress to rocketry (especially with Sable), but I'd want to keep rotational power relevant all the way through. We still use colossal rotating steam turbines for power, after all. Having changing aesthetics not just for shafts and windmills, but for wires and furnaces seems hard.
>>583773476Ended up making two more bridges on my quest to make a road that connected my house/settlement and a nearby village (~500 blocks of me), both of which ended up having slightly wonky math I had to correct in the end. Eventually I'll get around to paving the entirety of the path, and not just whatever dirt was present at the time.I'll take a small break, and then it's off to make crusader armor. Small things to break up the big projects, as you do.

So after doing the tree sap pipeline, I was down to around 1.8k iron ingots (I started the pipeline project with about 5k iron), and after my several hour long mining session yesterday, we're up to about 3k, which is ok but I'm definitely going to need at least double that for the super long oil pipeline I want to build. So back to the mines it is.Steel reserves are even more grim sitting at about 300 ingots right now (down from about 2k), which means 2/3 of my current iron reserves is going to have to go to just making steel, then I'll still need maybe 2-3k iron for the pipes.

I tried automating some specific crafts which require spouting a potion on an item in CABIN.The crafts go like this:awkward potion -> specific potion -> spout -> coat reagent -> outputOne example is glowstone dust, obtained by covering netherrack flour in potion of night vision. In this pic you see my setup where the mixer on the right takes care of the awkward potion, while the one on the left deals with the specific potion. My current issue with this setup is how I need to manually list all reagents for the many specific potions I want to craft in two separate list filters, one set to allow and one to deny, to be applied to the basin on the left mixer and the buffer chest on the top left respectively, so that I can set both the specific potion crafting items and the reagent to coat with it in a single factory gauge for the final product. Is there a smarter way to do this?

gonna start farming and apricot growing; my main issue is that all my tunnels on the iron levels and copper levels lead to water; there's no shortage of copper, both on the walls and in the mini game. Iron is mainly produced through the mini game right now, as you do get nuggets for gold and iron, I would keep digging, but I've gotten to 1k+ cobble and should probably build something.
I hate storage drawer walls.

>>584020027Doing more digging, even if I never hit iron, I can still produce small amounts of iron from the tunnels themselves; it would take forever to produce 4 blocks in the mini-game.

> https://legacy.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cube-warperNew pack by the Liminal Industries guy, looks kinda interesting for our progression enjoying friends. Doesn't have the brilliant backrooms map gen but otherwise the same style of mechanics are there. It's a big blend of the biggest mods of the past 15 years, but dripfed in a pretty unique way so you're going through in a completely different order than usual. Yeah this guy tweaks his packs big time, kinda impressive to pull in such an insanely wide assortment of big mods and make something coherent out of it.
Storage Drawers > Functional Drawers
>>584031179your moms a functional drawer because I dump my load in her
>>583906634Great for adding a bunch of biomes with all their own content. Most biome mods add "plains but with a bunch of bushes!" which I always remove if possible.I love the update aquatic stuff so upgrade aquatic is a must add for me. I haven't messed too much with their newer content though, like Caverns and Chasms.
spawn is better than natroonalist doe
why does every mod need to add an oak apple tree oh my god
I have no idea what is going on, but my luck is insane today. Over the past week of mining, I've found maybe 4-5 of these heat and climate big iron ore veins. That's over a WEEK. This is like my 6th one today, and I started mining maybe 20 minutes ago.
>>584010528No Man’s Land, it’s bundled with a mod called Mixed Litter.>>584046989I wish they’d just break the oak to apple link and add their own apple trees. Can’t believe a mod with autistic tree breeding like Forestry didn’t do this.

The phytogenic insolator side of the greenhouse is now down, barring some future cosmetic adjustments I might make in the future. Just need to whack a fancy lever onto all the blocks and put seeds in them and we'll have a steady supply of heat and climate crops for cooking with.
>>584066428Is this a toymy?
>>584066428Honestly, I don't know if there's any way to make a big, automated battery of garden cloches not look kinda shitty. >>584066894You can route either water or fertilizer via the bottom face if you wanted to hide one pipe. I also tend to run power via the top but maybe that doesn't fit with your aesthetics
>>584069257>I also tend to run power via the top but maybe that doesn't fit with your aestheticsIf I was smart, I would've done that and maybe had a bunch of beams of scaffolding running the length of the greenhouse's roof to give me space to set up a bunch of IE wires and connectors to the tops of cloches. As it is, I've already set up both wings of the greenhouse with the design of having a TE power cable running through the floor on the west side so it'd be a bitch to go and redo it now. I'll definitely have to go back and do it your way once resources are a bit less tight and I don't have a million projects going on.
man, tech mods try really fucking hard to make sure you cant make a machine power itself in the end. for instance, the oritech refinery is able to convert lava into sheol fire, which a lava generator can use to produce energy, at quite a good rate at that, but getting the lava to the refinery in the first place sort of sucks. you can either fill a fluid tank with lava with buckets, or you can give up, add an infinite lava source mod, and pump it that way because god forbid energy mods heavily steer you towards crude oil (i fucking hate fluid management in mc, especially finite fluids)
I tried redesigning the industrial greenhouses. I wouldn't necessarily call what I did an improvement, but I don't think it's worse than what it looked like before, so I'm just gonna leave it.
