But it's easy to forget in these games that our party is unusual in this regard. Most denizens of modern, fantasy, or whatever setting would do that. Even mundane things like a car accident or a fist fight or even just an exciting moment in a sports game has people yelling oh fuck oh shit and stuff like that. Now imagine if the average person was fighting a dragon, or was suddenly transported to hell, or the various things that happen to Sera.I like that there's an average idiot companion, to juxtapose your grim band of stoics who weirdly don't react to dragons and the fade and such.So while it's valid to not like her, because she factually is abrasive and annoying, I think it's goof to still appreciate what the writers did through the character from a worldbuilding direction.

It is cool that Tyranny lets you craft your own spells.
Sent woljif in to tank the big ball, but forgot to cast shield so he still took a bit of a beating. Greybor and Aivu went out to clear adds that kept shooting at Nenio. Nenio dealt a huge amount of damage including starting prismatic spray, a phantasmal on the gladiator vendor, a putrefecation that stunlocked some other adds and a cone of cold that accidentally hit me despite my high reflex saves. My skald proved useful too with one paralyse on a grim reaper demon and killing the interpreter, which summoned a Marelith for my side to help tanking. Once again, Lann did a lot of the actual shooting damage to other adds and eventually the big guy himself while I mostly had to sit back and cackle spam for hex uptimes. Unfortunately, with the big boss and the shadow demon here being critical immune, there were no romantic Seize the Moment procs despite all of Lann's crits (apparently, it doesn't count unless the crit damage goes through), but I did confirm opportunist works with snap shot at least in melee.Very cool fight but it started to drag toward the end with the hp bloat on everything significant.

But the extreme damage comes somewhat later and the class is pretty finicky with all the attack damage penalties you get, you don't really want to attack Spell Combat (-2) with Rapid Shot (-2) until later when those penalties can be mitigated. For an easier time you should go Ranger or Mutt Warrior fighter, they're the most straightforward.The 2 level dip in Eldritch Archer is because you get an extra free attack via Spellstrike + Spell Combat and this can be triggered with an infinite use cantrip, as mentioned you take a -2 penalty of attack roles, but it's a whole extra attack.

This playthrough has been an absolute blast so far. Every enemy has proper class and subclasses. Even the enemies that you don't think matter, like the random thralls on the nautiloid and the imps in the tutorial have proper class and subclass, and the imps had racial features. Every goblin has new racials. I'm excited to see every new feature added to every enemy throughout the game. And I love most of all that it's not just stat inflation like you see in Owlcat difficulty modes, they're all new abilities, many of which are from the DMD/MM.Enemies all use proper weapon mastery abilities as well. Enemies should always have the same tools you have, which includes both equipment and class features. Everything about this mod is pure kino.I just hit level 3 and I'm sitting here honestly unable to decide which subclasses to take on all my dudes, when in previous playthroughs it was a no-brainer every time. Breathing new life into the game of the decade with mods. I haven't had this much fun since my first playthrough.I think I will make my wizard a necromancer since the 5.5e necromancer is more interesting than the base game.
