I wonder if Maria would have gotten shot if the Sonic movies came out in the 2010s or 2000s. The first Spider-verse movie didn't have a problem showing someone get shot to death and that movie is rated the same. The second one show's a kid version of Peter who's even younger than Maria die onscreen. I remember when Stranger Things 4 came out, the opening scroll had a disclaimer due to the season coming out after a school shooting.
