Once a pawn fulfills the requirements for something it unlocks as an option, then it's determined by class and inclinations whether they do it. There's fundamental problems with the base game that were never addressed, shit like the Eternal Ferrystone is a change to something that didn't need changing. If they had overhauled the main game map, spawns, and other things to be more in line with the structure of the DLC I'd be more inclined to say it is "fixed", but realistically this was the best it was ever going to get post-release. Not a blastbro, but I don't align with the ideas some people have about the development of the game or the identity of the series, either. I wasn't craving some BBI-type experience when the game released and whinging about not getting that, so I probably am not exactly the person you were looking for in a response.

For a main mage pawn that's support/ranged spell damage is calm the inclination I should focus on? I don't want only heals or only blasting. I'd prefer versatility above all else...or something that's specifically good for hard mode from level 1. I actually can't specifically remember how inclinations work in dd2 since I haven't played since launch.

On the ballista mission, point all the 'listas towards the dragon, use the leftmost ballista first. It will get shrekt, but you can use the ruined wall to draw fire from the dragon. Just pop in an out with your bow. Your pawns will use the other ballistas.

It's enough that for the first few goblin packs I had to drag them back to some town guards to kill them, but once again, gaining a few levels and better equipment will just mean you need to be a little more careful while fighting them.Enemies from the expansion will absolutely fuck you sideways, even in normal mode, even after a few equipment upgrades, if you're not paying attention. I was around level 95, with base endgame equipment, fully upgraded, and I wandered through a cave into a hobgoblin pack that took my entire party down by a quarter max health after we were finished. I had to revive them multiple times. Then we wandered into another pack, except this time there were also saurians. More panic revives. Another quarter chunk of max health. Then we found a pack of little goblins that just kept fucking jumping, the little faggots were like fleas, jumping and jumping and jumping, hard as fuck to pin down while they chuck spears at you from every direction. Another quarter chunk. At that point I had moved about two hundred feet from the cave exit where I'd met the first pack of hobgoblins. And that's all in normal difficulty. It's definitely comparable to the first time you delve through Bitterblack Isle. I have no idea about hard mode difficulty for the expansion but I imagine it's pretty fucking tough.

Sadly you can't use Warfarer and equip 2 of the same swords to get access to multiple upgraded skills. Having them equipped shows off the upgraded skills in your vocation skills menu but when fighting, you have to have the right weapon on you to use the weapon's upgraded skill(s).

PSA: DO NOT help Amos or find the camps supplies during the Castle in the Ice quest. After gathering the supplies and helping Amos I went to finish those side quests only for Eir to disappear from the game. I went back where I first found her and she wasn't there. started doing the new dungeons on my newly hard mode original save file. found the first few i did very easy.went back to vern to sleep in my house and found a letter upon waking... a plea for aid dealing with corrupted monsters near one of the dungeons i'd just chumped.....
