it has been an interesting day.one remake into one game were I ask the guy not to play guy but he plays guy anyway and is awful at playing guy as they always are and we lose big time.next game theres a bot lane duo with a pocket support that doesn't play for anyone else and that winning game drags out into a very slow loss. very nice.one more game and the tilt has consumed me. I'm gonna list out the main takeaways here so I don't inundate you with my tendency to go on long tangents about stuff you don't really need to know yet in order to improve/climb, this might take a few messages tho so I'm sorry for the wall of textGeneral for both of you:1)Trading happens around cs timers, that is to say, each time your enemy tries to cs is when you should hit them.Desync the HP of your minions from theirs, so that you never have to choose between csing and harassing. You can do this by hitting the wave a minion, and then matching their autos whenever they try to get push on their wave.2) Basic enemy jungle tracking is very important if you're playing mid lane, because you can can ganked from both sides yet you can only realistically focus your wards on one. Shallow wards on both sides is magnitudes worse than good wards on one side, and then hugging that side.You can achieve this by getting vision on their raptors when the game starts. (Be careful about them expecting it and waiting to jump you from the bush, though)3) Need to read wave states better. A wave will only ever be pushing into you, or pushing away from you. Each one has its own purpose, but recognising it and playing off of that information is like League fundamentals 101. You can try hopping into practice tool and just watching how the minions push when you leave 1 enemy minion alive (or 2, or 3 or 4). It'll only take like 5-10 minutes but it's hard to really observe when you're in the middle of a game and getting poked down by spells.4) Shoving a wave allows you to do things; be it roaming for a play or to place down vision. But you must always shove first. A shit roam can get you 134g as demonstrated in that Orianna game, but just collecting your wave + a plate will literally give you 200 more gold than that, on top of denying the enemy laner gold from minions. So until you can recognise good trade roams, rule of thumb is to always shove first.>>584276797>>584272836

It's OK if you don't get it right your first hundred games, that's the whole point of limit testing. I've lost like tens of thousands of trades limit testing my way to Diamond, and that's okay. You can't know if you don't try. The better you get at it, the smaller advantages you can push on. For example, I'm very comfortable with punishing short cooldowns like Yone/Yasuo's early Q cooldown, because I play those champions and have died to disrespecting their cooldowns hundreds and hundreds of times. Now I literally see them whiff a Q and I intrinsically understand that I have 3 seconds to beat them up before I have to back off. Do that 5 times in a minute for 80 damage each time, and suddenly they have no health left. That takes time, though. But for now, not punishing an ultimate/summoner spell cooldown is really bad, so you can focus on that first.2) Similar to what I said in the previous post, except it's even more important as Briar since you have the ability to instantly roam to another lane with your ult. While it means that you have more time to roam after shoving, you *still* have to walk back to your lane after. So it is still important that you shove the wave in before you try and make plays. You also need to ensure that you have resources before objectives (health, mana, ult, summoner spells if you play a champ with mana). If you don't have flash and ult for a fight, it's okay to realise that you don't want the fight and just back out of it for guaranteed gold from minions.I personally just do /mute all when I'm tryharding ranked, because at least when I make mistakes, it's totally on me and not because I got influenced by someone else on my team. People in gold like to spam missing pings on you because you refuse to ARAM coinflip 24/7 in fights that you aren't sure to win.

This will help you to determine when you can/should reset without giving them a free freeze.It's frustrating to lose games where you are ahead and your team seems to be trying their best to lose the game, but what you have to understand is that you convert your lead by generating pressure on the map... and then not dying. Sounds simple, but you need a combination of timing, map awareness and vision to do that.I see that you like playing Irelia, she's insanely good at splitpushing.So what I want you to do, is crush your enemy laner as you already seem to be doing, and then convert the lead over them by getting priority (via crashing your wave into their tower), and then going to help your team because they're stuck under their tower.Currently, you're getting your leads by just solokilling the enemy laner over and over, but you can also build huge leads by just denying resources from them. Freezing & zoning when you're stronger, can actually build larger leads than solokilling them especially when they stop being worth any gold at all. I often get max shutdown bounty when I gap my enemy top laner despite only being 2/0, because I deny them of so many resources that I end up with a literal 5k+ gold gap by 17 minutes, and that's how the bounty system calculates it.It doesn't look as cool on the scoreboard, but it's also far, FAR less risky. Cause imagine being so strong that you can 1v2, but you're literally close to your tower (frozen wave) unless it's time to shove and teleport to dragon, or shove and move to help with grubs/herald, or shove and then help to invade their jungle.
