Currently making a blood mod that actually intercepts damage events instead of the boring one on the nexus :3I thought that it would be cool if finishers on large monsters would create a more visceral blood explosion. Hits with larger weapons create larger blood trails and leave more puddles on the ground. And I also thought that maybe having less blood play on the first hit for each body part that steadily increases as you land more hits would be cool. So like daggers would start slicing with noticeable less blood but as you god into a frenzy you spill larger and larger fontains.Also trying to get characters covered in more obvious blood decals.

After fighting the final boss of the DD2 several times for gear in endgame I think I can comfortably say this fight kinda just sucksJust constantly teleporting around. I fought him once as Warrior and wanted to blow my fucking brains outso far I had the best results with mystic spearhand and thiefHis knockdown resist must be insanely high too, I rarely stagger it, so couple that with the constant teleporting and the fight is just a painand seeing as how this, like Daimon, is meant to be the thing you farm for gear, it really is leaving a bad taste in my mouth, because Daimon was at least much more fun, and I felt an actual sense of vertical progression as I got more gear from DaimonWith the relics in DD2, it's like I'm rolling the gacha for gear with the skills I want, and even the power of level 5 weapons still doesn't help with making the boss any more of a pain.Also I am no longer hiring thief pawns at this point, they spend too much time doing that shitty climb boost move instead of actually using good skills like skull splitter now. For anyone wondering, as someone who has gotten into the DLC's endgame, here's how it goes:>go to the abyss edge to turn the world into the evil perma night version>this adds rifts all over the map that when completed give spoils>red rifts give an item that is consumed when you challenge the DLC postgame final boss, Satanachia. Up to 3. Each one makes the boss stronger but gives better rewards.>there is also a super red rift that always gives 3>the reaper can spawn during any of these rifts, I have fought him but havent killed him because he fucks off. Reaper is kind of a pain to fight since you have to contend with all the enemies and bosses that spawn in the rifts too. I can't tell if he just has a time limit before he leaves like in DD1 or if he leaves if you focus the actual rift enemies. >the Ring that increases in power when you kill the ruin of Norgan, gives increased drop rate for rare materials. It is enhanced by repeatedly killing Satanachia when equipped. Using Corkscrew Bolt and Erupting Bolt to delete or stunlock enemy waves like what the zombie dragon spawns is funny, the heavier bow shots and the Maister skill have insane knockdown values too so you can stagger and send small enemies flying off ledges. The status effect arrows can do some funny things too, and you can switch between shooting every enemy faster than other vocations to be affecting almost every enemy with your antics.Basically you play as Hawkeye and bully people with arrows or dodging around, very fun.

I remember not liking it in DD1 and was wondering if it's similar, since it says you get more exp and gold, so I'm a bit hesitant.IIRC my issue at the release of 2 was that encounters felt way too easy once you hit like level 30 and tried a couple different vocations, so I ended up using a mod for my first playthrough to make normal enemies not just fall over immediately.
