Retail devs want players to enjoy only so much content a week. You don't get rewarded for going any further than the devs allow. Forever solves this issue by giving you rewards based on your efforts. Player 1 is content with a necklace that dropped from Hall of Thanes. Meanwhile, player 2 is content with pic related. Player 2 spent hours grinding Booty Bay rep for his reward. Why? Because the game understands that (You) want the best rewards available and are happy to work on it for hours.In retail, both of these players would have the same reward. A fucking necklace tailor made to fit your cookie cutter build. It doesn't even feel like a reward because it isn't. It's simply there to get the players to keep playing hyper fast content that lasts only a couple weeks at a time.
