One from Chapter 2 in the game showed back up in Chapter 9 which was years apart. Girl's Frontline had even shit ass 3 star units get upgrades and come back in the main or side story. Some characters who weren't plot relevant but were fan favorites showed up in the prequel and sequel game as units. I didn't get very far in Blue Archive, but some stuff I saw of the late game has all the characters from the early chapters still participating in shit. Aftershock characters like SAnby, Trigger and Orphie are the biggest rugpull we've ever had in this game. I don't even remember the last time endgame shilled Aftershock. They perform ultimately worse than a Sneed and Cissia team. I couldn't even get enough scores on the shiyu stage that shilled Electric Attack with Sanby and Trigger last patch and mind you i gave my Sanby her free S-rank engine from the anniversary. I don't believe Orphie is that much of a game changer for Sanby (I don't have her) either.

The team was so strong, people shat on Seed for patches because Seed was only doing as much damage as a 1.6 unit and calling it reverse power creep. But like all gacha characters, SAnby had to be toned down for the new characters / fights. Seed only became relevant again thanks to Cissia, who can function without Seed.The real disappointment of aftershock is the devs not releasing any more crit DPS aftershock characters that want to use Trigger or Orphie. Aftershock as a mechanic was last seen on Lucia of all characters randomly.Also, SAnby's ball is the least important investment out of the three agents if you want the aftershock team.

As for what Abloom even is, don't worry about it, it just happens.You can use Alice with both of them just fine. If you don't have Rem and use Yuzuha, that's perfectly fine too, Gong also works.
