He arrived just to gloat and said cruel things without thinking about the consequences, it's very childish and very fun to see. I don't like doing BoC to IDW comparisons, but something that bothered me throughout all of IDW's run is how Eggman was drawn in a slightly grotesque manner, as well, while BoC Eggman in that issue didn't come off that way and had pretty good expressions. I liked the issue, even if not as much as some of the previous ones.

The concept of normal people being turned to/sealed inside of monsters existed for years, while IDW's arc was specifically written like a zombie story and had elements like other characters getting mad at IDW Sonic for his actions and everyone being miserable, along with repeated character infection and a cynical tone. I am not sure why you're even making the comparison other than in bad faith.
