In my opinion, this game having a control scheme designed for a gamepad cripples its functionality. It makes using hacks very convoluted since you can't just select and cast them like a spell, you have to open an overlay and manually scroll down to use them every time, and you can't see things like your RAM level without having the overlay open. It's very much Skyrim on console, where not having access to the number keys means you have no choice but to constantly open the favorites menu and scroll to find what you want to use next. It also means you can only have one activated cyberware installed at a time since there's only one button for it - hence, you can't really have, say, an arm launcher and the sandy at the same time, you'd have to awkwardly switch between them every single time you want to use the other since they inhabit the same fucking button (because gamepads have so few buttons). It just makes me not want to bother with hacks, especially in the middle of combat, and also means you're stuck with one active ability the entire game which, in my case, usually just ends up being the sandy because I find the hacking interface tedious.
