It always bothered me how shadows are very inconstant in the series. the cast in P2 don't exactly deny them being the same but still goes berserk anyways, then you have Maya who rejects her shadow and disappears in comparison to P4's shadows where the cast have to accept them being the same. Metis and Teddie are somewhat similar but then the latter pretty much becomes his own person without having to go back to his "other self". Finally we have Futaba's shadow who's supportive and trying to help her other self instead of calling her out like how P2 and P4's shadows did. I know this seems strange to fixate on but considering how vital shadows are to Persona you'd at least expect consistency.
