>>584782783Paralyze them with foreboding bolt and then charge Magic Speargun fully and aim it at a weak point. It does more damage while they're slowed. Use Ravager Hand to get your stamina back, you may need to slow them with Foreboding Bolt first if they move around a lot or if you want extra safety while you sap stamina. For some monsters, you might be able to climb on their back and use Wild Fury on their head instead, I like to do this for Chimera and focus on the goat. For any monster that's knocked over and has their weak spot on the ground, just go over and Wild Fury it. Wild Fury = melee physical/magic dps and Speargun = strong, aim-able magic damage. Dragon Foin+Fangtooth is good for mounting and getting on the backs of things like dragons and chimera. If you feel like using a skill slot for it, Seeking Blade can be used during many skills to add extra damage, though honestly I'm not really sure how much extra total damage it adds. A fun combo is to hold L1 and then rapidly alternate between Wild Furry and Seeking Blade inputs to do the full combo while adding extra blades to it but again, I don't know how much stronger this really makes it. Obviously don't put either of these on double inputs for it to work smoothly. Speargun is really the only skill that will give you a big noticeable chunk off the health bar in a single hit but Wild Fury will still do a lot if you get the whole thing off. The new skill, Battle Twin/Idol/Lich is something I'm still getting used to. You can use it before charging Speargun to keep an enemy locked down while you charge/aim so it pairs well with that skill. Unfortunately, it can't be used with Wild Fury since for some reason, you're only allowed to have one clone out which is gay as fuck. I have not completed the dlc yet so I haven't used the gravity field skill yet.

Mage/Sorcerer got Magick Barrier added but a cool idea might be to give them a Teleport core skill where if you press circle while Magick Barrier is up, you teleport a short distance in a chosen direction, at the cost of a moderate chunk of stamina. MS could have a core skill that lets them consume Foreboding Bolt if it's charged to perform a Quick Foot teleport in any direction by pressing circle while it's held. They could still sprint normally with L3 with Foreboding Bolt held however. Those are just some random ideas but I like having core skills that expand both offensive and defensive options that fit thematically with the vocation.

Just got finished with the base DLC, I think? Brought two archers and a mage while I did stuff as a warrior. Might’ve been better off picking mystic spear hand, seemed like I was being ragdolled by the boss for most of the fight while the pawns did most of the work. Got some weapons and cool screenshots though. Credit to Amalia and Evalyne, they’ve been reliable ranged support throughout the DLC whenever I hired them. The boss AI has a scripted effect that kills its own minions by doing exactly their max HP in damage, and CDT was reducing that damage, so the minions would not die (but would remain invisible). The door only opens when everything is dead, so the quest softlocks.I uploaded a fix for CDT an hour ago to hopefully mitigate this, though I've seen reports that it sometimes happens on vanilla as well.

I rarely feel like I want one phantasmal wall or floor, let alone three. Maybe if it made them corporeal walls/floors so enemies could actually walk on or run into them.

Are the hobgoblins in Hard difficulty Norgan bugged or what?I do know they hit harder than the regular hobgoblins from base game, but they just threw a shitty torch at me and they took down more than 2000 health with it, while their regular attacks do 500 or so damage. You're telling me that a shitty wooden torch hits 4x harder than metal sword???Also whenever they throw a spear at me it does an additional instance of damage if I stand near where the spear landed.
I sure am glad I'm in here and the dragonsplague is out there.

The vocation is just not fun. Either you get rushed down and have to scurry away in a huff or you are standing back firing off balls of light. Recovery Arrow is cool but its rather useless close range and thats where all the fun of DD2 majorly happens. Kinda wish they made it pawn avaiable desu
