The hero is not as scary as he looks. Also, sanity eclipse has a 2min cooldown. What spells does he have aside from that? Banish is an utility spell, not a great source of damage, he needs witchblade to utilise his Q well and his E is just a shield. The answer about what you should do depends on your pick.To scale in DOTA 2 your hero needs to be able to hit creeps. OD cannot hit creeps. Even if he makes a successful rotation, most probably he won't even get the kill or if he does it's max 2. And in that period he probably got like 3 creeps and has to walk back to mid.If you played Sniper and stacked 2 large camps and cleared 2 waves that would be better for your game than whatever OD was doing.If you played Pangolier you'd have a great chance at raping the sidelines better than an OD.If you played Ember you could play much more active and not be afraid of OD really.Storm can flash farm.You have to realise OD is a creep hero. When people get too used to conceding matches you eventually meet people who genuinely drop to room temperature IQ the moment the game hits late even if they are ahead in the game because they aren't used to the macro decisions that take place during late game because they've played 80% of their matches that resulted in either them winning at early/mid game because the opponent surrendered or them losing at early/mid game because they surrendered. Carry players in dota on average are already pretty retarded when it comes to pushing high ground, imagine how much more difficult it would be when you get people who rarely play long games. Not having a concede option means people actually develop experience and the skills for how to play at all stages in the game. The pro scene gets that benefit of being able to concede since they have different reasons for playing a game, meanwhile your carry player in League will throw a concede vote off-cooldown just because they went 0-4 in the lane
