Better if you have Frenzy IV so every hit fills you back up to max HP.With Blood Pact, you can ignore the tornadoes and just chase him around. Once you fought him enough, you'll learn the tells when he's the one who's going to chase you, so you can either do more normals or time a Tidal Wrath/Rage.

Tidal Rage is such a fun skill

Then start spamming Heavy attack and mashing out Sechings inbetween the Heavy Swings while charging a Bolt to 1st stage. When Bolt is charged unleash it then put out a Batille Idole and go back to Heavy+SechingInbetween that also consider listening for any shields breaking and then go back to Heavy and Seching. If Stamina gets low use a charged Bolt and time it so you get the teleport off when it lands then convert into Ravenous Hound. Consider Dragoin as an escape option and dont bother with either of the Meister skills just use Speargonne since it comes in handy for any terrain or at the very least hitting weakpoints long range.

I wish there was an Action Mode unlockable where you could do a run with stats and levels fixed for both player and enemies (maybe changing with vocation switches but that's it). Keep the DA equipment effects so you're still encouraged to search and loot for better combinations, but with less stat bloat and more action-orientation. I think that would be cool.

I like it the best when clearing out crowds of enemies but it suffers on boss fights where it’s just one dude versus your party. Warrior is kind of a mix, its attacks are slow/impactful but hits a wide range, and proper positioning is as important as timing. It also tends to suffer on boss fights with agile opponents. Overall I have more fun with Spearhand and Sorc both because I’m probably a bit weird, but warrior is a close third.

Why does the game look so shit out of the box? I had to tweak settings for 2 hours before I found the right settings that make it actually playable, instead of a pixelated mess. In making my pawn in DD2, I didn't realize the inclinations had a pronounced effect on combat behavior and weren't just personalities for dialogue. My pawn has the Kindhearted inclination but I've been using him as an archer. I've read that calm and simple are more appropriate for archer pawns, but how much of a difference does it really make? Is it a very min-maxxing thing to worry about? I'd rather not have my guy use the Calm inclination since he's a white guy and he's have what is very obviously a black dude's voice.
With those quests in the base game where you need to hand over books, you need two of each, right? there isn't some other thing where you need those books? Also, who gets the fake Jadeite?

my biggest complaint with the dlc after stewing on it is the decision made for rancor spawns. they really need to update the spawn pool with more enemies. barbatos and fimbls are re used way to often and after two rifts i'm already wanting to stop. there really needed to be an eliminator equivalent in norgan, or shit even just some shit like frost minotaurs or something
