Numerically, Minthara is unpopular and she's my wife.Though with bg3 enthusiasts who know how to recruit her she has a good amount of cosplay and fan art, so the people who know about her tend to like her, so it's hard to say what her actual popularity would be if she wasn't practically a secret companion to most casuals.Other than her, I like Zevran. He has an interesting backstory and is a view into some of he villains of Dragon Age that are not the actual main villains the games are about, which is interesting as well. And later on he becomes an actually loyal friend/husband. So I ended up liking him despite a negative first impression.I also didn't really mind Ifran and Beast. Sure they're relatively less interesting than the rest of the cast but I didn't dislike them. They're outshined.I also don't mind Wyll. >>584937841Intense, driven, ambitious, pragmatic, She's one of the more socially insightful characters in the game and has several keen observations about the party members and various antagonists.She has some of the funniest jokes in the game.With Viconia dying shortly after the game and Nathyyra not even being evil, she's one of the only happily ever after stories involving an evil drow, which is unique.I also like that despite being evil, she does more good than most of the party. Most of them retire or look after themselves. Lazy is the only other one that hops right into another grand crusade. Minthara starts destabilizing Menzoberranzan and seeks to dethrone Lolth, lowering her influence on the material plane. Which is hilariously a more Good thing than half the characters with Good written on their character sheets will ever do.I also like that she has realistic flaws. She suffers from pride. She's always quick to point other people's flaws, but she fucked up several things in her own life.She also has the flaw of being blinded by power. Several times she advises a companion or you to grab power that presents itself, and only later admits it was a bad idea and comes to her senses. The Slayer Form and Astarion's ascension are the obvious ones, but she does it with Shart too. Thankfully, in all of these cases, she does later wisely say that these sources of power had too much cost to them.I also like that she's actually evil, not "evil" like many romance options end up. Minthara has murdered hundreds, but she's practical, and avoids pointless barbarism or personal indulgence.I also like that her views on government are mostly standard practical evil rather than Gort/Orin and the wacky shit they were doing/planning. Everything she describes is either done in real life on a regular basis, or is already done by dnd/pf evil states that are successful.And last but certainly not least, I like that her romance is actually about true love and trust.

Some people say to use the restoration mod for kotor2 which is fine but it runs without it and I played my first several times without it. kotor1 is the more coherent and polished game, with a nice simple plot with a fun plot twist and good music.2 is more about dialogue and it asks more questions of the player, and it's also much darker in tone.Both are good in their own ways. Arguably some of the best crpg ever made.

Visually it was also very well designed, considering there isn't a whole lot to work with, since I believe you can actually see the beacons appear as the PC comments. And of course, that last stretch when you're just about to surface is very striking.

It was made by Alexis Kennedy who has a very striking pen and good imagination, and he would later go on to make Cultist Sim, Book of Hours and Travelling at Night. The best thing about Sunless Sea is easily the visual atmosphere coupled with the writing. Like Underrail it’s also a subterranean environment and you sail a vast cavernous lake as a sea captain trading supplies, investigating areas with port reports which you can sell and so on. Mechanically it’s a trading game as you need to keep you and your crew alive with provisions and enough fuel for different port runs depending on how far away they are, but at the start of the game you set a game goal like retirement, exploration, and so on, some are easier than others. Zubmariner dlc adds a submarine mechanic to the game and a whole other underwater dimension which is very striking, as submarines are technically illegal in the Unterzee as it’s called. In short, I’d recommend it, though the gameplay loop might seem intimidating at first.

Funny how that always happens. With only one thing left to do in Expedition I believe this rest was well deserved!One thing I really appreciate about this DLC, after pretty much completing about 95% of the base game, is how front-loaded some of its aspects are. Typically that association is viewed negatively but I believe in this case it's quite the opposite and is in fact a boon. What I mean is that the Lemurian facilities get progressively less intricate as you explore them until the very last one which is complex in an entirely different way. This gives the player room to breathe and get invested in the story of the Expedition and their roll in it. Considering the number of facilities, had they all been massive multi-level complexes I think after three or four most players would see it as a drag rather than something exciting to explore and uncover.

Is Kineticist really better than Kinetic Knight. Like yeah you can get Kinetic Blade at level 5 for Kineticist but until then you just shoot fireball and you still need to get Precise Shot feats which would become useless once you switch to kinetic knight playstyle. Plus Kinetic Knight get to use shield.

It's the only finessable two-hander, which means you can use Mythic Light Armor Assault for up to +6 to attack and damage when using a mithral chainmail since those count as light armor, this works even if you use STR rather than DEX. They also have an 18-20 crit range. The only problem with them is how few ECBs you can find throughout the game; you'll be using finnean for a long time

Which inevitably ends up happening anyway because the companions always have the same starting archetypes, only a very small number of support archetypes are actually good, a smaller number still fits the companions stats and personalities, and at least one companion per playthrough has the archetype that I want to play. Character wise he's similar to Ember.If you want to do Unfair you don't really look at roleplay and just look at mechanics, so I'd make the character an Enchanter. I'd take exploiter wizard with a dip in sorcerer for Fey and Undead bloodlines, for the higher DC to Compulsion and the ability to affect Undead with mind-affecting spells respectively, and a couple of levels in Loremaster to grab things like Greater Command. Unfortunately a true pacifist run is not possible in wotr, at least I don't think so. You could a install a mod to track your character's statistics and make sure you never deal a single point in damage. Greater Command works on enemies with Compulsion immunity, like Demon Lords, and it helps you fill your lower level spell slots. I'd go Azata for the favorable magic superpower and then you could switch to Gold Dragon so you can redeem Areelu. Also you should sacrifice yourself and close the World Wound at the end. It would play similar to an Enchanter Ember, though I think Wizard is a better caster than Witch.

The thing you should keep in mind is that Magus don't really like being multiclassed too much and sword saints in particular get a lot of powerful mechanics if you stick with the class, namely perfect critical and maximized weapon damage dice at level 4, lightning draw at level 7 for more initiative, critical perfection at 9 for an easier time qualifying for critical feats, lethal focus at 13 for more damage on flat-footed, perfect reflexes at 19 for an automatic 20 on initiative rolls and the fighter's weapon mastery capstone. Also canny defense's cap is equal to your levels in Magus. And finally magus are half arcane casters so you'll be getting your spells a lot slower and have less slots, sword saints in particular have an even more neutered spellbook
>>585111185I mean I don't really care about spells. SS is more martial focus and the only spell you care for are Mirror Image, Blur, Shield and some touch spells. Also if not SS, which class would fit the bill of some half-elf who can use Elven Curve Blade better?

>>585111514It can work with SS, you just need to be aware that you're delaying a lot of powerful mechanics for later. I'd actually start as Thug so you get weapon finesse, get your first level in SS at level 2 so you can select ECB as your favored weapon and don't have to pay the feat tax for the proficiency, keep progressing Thug until level 5 for debilitating Injury, finesse training and uncanny dodge and then continue with Sword Saint. One of the best weapons in the game is an ECB called Bane of the Living, but getting it is a bit finicky
