Blizzard insider here, I work with the other IP's what you guys said about retail being taken over by WoW grannys with union contracts is 100% true. Microsoft can't even decide on what expansions should focus on anymore. It's all very political for WoW since the sex stuff. The story team is way over staffed and people being hired for being friends of friends or having certain political agendas. All work tickets on WoW get passed around until some poor interns decide to do it. All the political people on the story team got credited for fixing the patch on day 1 with broken bugs just so their performance in the next meeting could look good. There used to be a bunch of staff who were unfirable because of the legacy code and they would set up traps in the game that would cause the servers to break but most of those have been fixed thanks to Bobby he fired a lot of them and built new WoW from the ground up. A lot of these new down times are some of these traps being set off from those fired devs from a long time ago.Pretty much the retail version of WoW is this game with a bunch of union contracts making changing the game impossible without tons of union meetings about meetings about culture and making sure no one feels sexually assaulted, server breakign bugs set up by former devs causing this down time and a bunch of people who don't know shit about game design or making WoW and getting credited with good performance by bugs they put on purpose to fix. Silvermoon looks a lot better once the voidstorm skybox is gone, however theres no easy way to just get that. The REALLY need to add a complete campaign skip for S1, I so sick of having the prolasped void anus ruining the skybox on all my alts and I dont wanna run that raid 50 times to fix it.Also when looking at SMC youve gotta put some effort into finding a nice shot, its so big and there are so many spires towers and balconies that if you just pick a random spot you get chaos.
