Shield Precision is really underrated IMO. Honestly, trying to get Perfect Deflects in the bigger fights is almost impossible with all the visual clutter going on in this game so it's nice to have this option. The fact that it makes human and smaller enemies go flying is a funny bonus.

Why was exploration and monster hunting so damn neglected in the base game in general?

Yeah, I fucking taking a break from lost rites and finally going to dlc. As anons gave me the advice, I started doing lost rites before dlc and while the first two in the eastern part of map were fine, the one in this misty marshes gave me ultra cancer. Bosses were fine, I enjoyed dullahan and lich, even if my damage was abysmal, but invincible slimes and overall length of the dungeon were very annoying and exhausting. Yeah, I figured you can kill these slimes with poison pots, but there are not enough of them, especially because pawns run into the pots as I throw them at slimes.

Maybe I'm just ass but the undead dragon rematch in devouring rancors feels infinitely harder than anything else I've done in DD2. RedSatan often gets a solid number of heals out of me, but the dragon just annihilates my recovery and wakestone supplies. It's more the ghouls and demons that turn up during, but handling them while fifty cumbombs rain from the sky and the massive lad throws his weight around really has me and my pawns eating shit.
